The pee-hole IS there- or rather what is left of it. I agree that is is most likely traditional Hijra, and such pics are rare, so good to see.

Hijra's have to be very brave, at least from my perspective. I mean, to submit to a primitive ritual where your whole package is sliced off, ouch! I know that they're drugged up pretty good and I know that sometimes they've planned it for years, but still, that would be something to see. I suspect that if the penis isn't erect when the cutting starts, it must get erect pretty quick, unless it's tied off in the flaccid state first. Anyone know?

I'm someone who uses photoshop and I look for the possibility this was created that way. No pee hole and not seeing any hair growth makes me very suspicious.

Well - if you look midway on the scar - you will see remains of the peehole.
Hair is probably shaved in preparation for the surgery.

It's not impossible, of course, but I doubt it. Who would photoshop a nasty-looking scar from genital removal to put it in a urology journal?

I don't know about you but my hair starts showing in a couple days and that surgery is days old.

The initial amputation scar is old but it appears to me that this view is of the patient prepped and draped for surgery to correct the stenosis. Note the green surgical drape over the patient's left leg. The yellow colour suggests preparation with betadine. So it looks to me like the patient is on the table to have her pee-hole opened up and/or relocated, and the pic was snapped just prior to surgery. I'd be keen to see the post-surgical view though.

I am surprised a few of you cannot see any remains of hair. Look at the place near the white cloth. The small black dots looks like small stubbles of hair shaved.

On the 'hgroin line' of the persons' right leg there seem to be a few strands remaining too.

If the peehole is the small slit at the centre, does it mean the urethra has moved downwards after the penis was removed.
