I have Chile to last me till Saturday, but I'll be glad when payday comes - I'm dying for a hamburger - LOL

Today, I slept in till noon. When I got up I felt physically weak. It was either from not consuming enough food or living on one can of Hormel chile a day - lol

Fortunately, my small check arrived, so I ate a burger and fries.

On the Plus Side, my small check arrived so I have food, wonderful food.

Also, I received my recent electric bill, $51.00, the lowest I've seen in many a moon

On the Negative Side, my combo VCR/DVD player died of either old age or overuse

On the Plus Side, my computer still works - woo hoo

Re: One Day in the Life of a Wolf

I just found, and completed reading this thread and it's tomorrow morning for a third night.

Now I'm not older than dirt, but I can remember when it was new and you could still eat it.

My father died of altziemers in January of 2007. I was the son that lived in the same town. You weren't alone in that circumastance. (Huggs)

My wife has been in hospitals and nursing homes since 2005 and she's coming home soon. (can't afford the thousands a month for a nursing home any more.)

My daughter kidnapped a boy she met on line from Texas and brought him to Utah twice, yes they are living with me. They have been married over a year.

My son has never left home either. I have kids you can't loose and they wont run away. LOL

My daughters niece has been living here for a couple months, she's working and trying to get her act together.

Yesterday my daughter said Juvenile Protective services will be by to see if we can take in her nephew.

This morning my daughters niece told me that she had a lesbian stripper friend on a bus from Las Vegas where she had been beat up.

Guess who showed up for dinner? yes and she arrived with the clothes on her back and is staying for a bit?

On the other hand I'm fortunate that there has been no violence or threat of violence. That I wouldn't stand for even if I'm 60+!

Tomorrow I drive an hour to pick up my wife and an hour to take her to "Her" hospital and doctors for ultrasound and other tests.

On the brighter side I'm singing Minneapolis, and planning to attend my first MOM in a few days. WOOOOO HOOOO!

There is more to the story but this is your blog. Wishing you the best and some of use have an understanding of your big heart.

One interesting note: today, Liz was served with legal papers. I have no idea in reference to what, but it has her worried.

It could be a summons to court for when her daughter was picked up by the police a few weeks ago.

If i find out anything, i'll pass it on.

Re: One Day in the Life of a Wolf

Tomorrow at 11:00 am I see my doctor. Among the things we'll discuss are:
    1. I need my meds renewed
    2. I need a referral to a podiatrist (ingrown toenail)
    3. I need an Rx, if possible, for Safe T Pro Lancets to test my blood sugar. The Safe T Pro brand are semi-painless. I haven't tested my sugar in six months because I couldn't afford the brand and the other lancets are too damn painful.

I saw my doctor and my blood sugar was well within limits, my BP was perfect, and my weight had decreased to 207. My doc gave me a referral to a podiatrist who deals with diabetics, renewed my two medications and gave me an Rx for Safe T. Pro Lancets.

On the minus side, I missed my ride back so I had to walk home, mostly uphill, in the hot sun. i'd guess I walked 7 miles but it felt like 20 :0

Cool Re: One Day in the Life of a Wolf

That which does not kill you, makes you stronger.

That walk would have killed me.

In Mr. Wolf's case, that which does not kill him, makes him stranger. --FLO--
Condensing fact from the vapor of nuance.

Now that is truly "carrying coals to Newcastle," You don't have to be strange to hang out around here, but is sure makes things easier.

Busses wise, I had no money on me and only $9 in my account which means I could take nothing out of my account from an ATM. Our ATM's here dispense only in $20 increments.

Believe me, I would have preferred the bus ride.

Oddly, my legs feel fine the day after.
