For some reason, this post makes me think back to the BLOOM COUNTY comic strips of the 80's and when Milo Bloom and Opus and the gang went in search of Rosebud, the alleged last Basselope in existance.

For anyone who has no clue what I'm talking about, find yourself a compendium of the comic in book form by Berkely Breathed and enjoy. Bloom County was a political satire strip that ran in the middle/late 80's.

They found a female pretending to be a male...reminds me of someone I know. I wish I could figure that one out.

Neither of us that posted in this thread are what you want, though. For me, I used to be a eunuch, but there is a surgery to cure us of that

If Jon was just half as serious as he claims to be why can´t I read any kind of information about this, neither in his profile or on his posting. Would it be a problem to let us know and openly share the name and a confirming telehone No. of this highly inteligent and quality British TV Company. TV Companies have websites and usually advertise such ventures?

Jon first contacted BBoy regarding his interest in speaking with some eunuchs about a month ago. Since then Jon and I have been in contact 3 or 4 times regarding this and it was my suggestion he post on the message board.

I have no reason to believe he isn't who he says he is and his email does come from the appropriate source.

Hopefully Jon is still reading and gathering information here. For the record here is the information associated with optomen.com. The only thing that gives me pause is that there isn't a website associated with this domain, only email service. Here ( http://www.etve.com/contact/CompanyI...?CompanyID=400 ) is another website with information about Optomen, but with a uk domain name - optomen.co.uk.

On a last, unrelated note, their internet provider - Demon Internet - has given the sex police free reign of their servers (quote from CNN.com):

I received an email this morning from Optomen TV confirming that Jon Swain is indeed an employee of that organization.

I encourage anyone who feel comfortable doing to try and give Jon the information he needs to make an educational and informed program.

Jon, for your part I would like to see a general description of the program you are trying to put together. Do you already have the content set and are trying to get people to confirm, or are you using your experiences here as a way to determine what should be included in the program?

For my two cents worth, I have indicated to Jon that I hope the program goes in depth into the penectomy aspects of eunuchism, an area that has not been explored before.

Another area of focus could/should be on the struggle of people to find competant medical care willing to perform the kinds of procedures these people need. The 'cutter' scene in the eunuch community is akin to the back-alley coathanger abortions of the pre-Row v. Wade decision here in the US.

I also hope that Jon's program takes a close look at the internet eunuch community, and how the internet has brought us together and is in the beginning stages of changing the way people think about emasculation.

Jon, I hope you continue to read and comment here. The best way to get people to really trust you is to participate here for a while and get to know the people and their personalities, and to let them get to know yours.

Ask questions and people will answer. This is on average a highly educated group of people with real, serious, and typically informed opinions about this subject.

Ignore the camera and just talk. If for some reason you spew coffee out of your nose, well, they'll edit that part out later heheh.

Thanks very much to all those who have replied to my message - great that you're willing to talk.

We are still developing the programme and don't have a set story line or any kind of agenda at all. These kind of subjects are still relatively new to mainstream media and academia - the only way to explore them properly is through personal testimony. So the heart of our programme will be people talking about their sexuality and sexual experiences. That's why I'm here - to find out what you guys think about castration and what it might tell us about sexuality more generally.

I have heard of the type of programmes that your company produces as i have a friend that assisted you with the Animal Passions documentary.
Of which i thought it showed the subject in a reasonable light
