A possibility is that Sarah Palin and others will appear on huge and multiple video screens taped in advance and of course with a prepared and approved speech.

Another possibility is that Sarah Palin and others will be given an "opening of the day" speech well before prime time.

It will be interesting to see how they tie down the loose cannons and keep them in line with what will no doubt be a coronation for Mitt Romney.

It will do us all to remember that Sarah Palin wanted to give a "concession" speech after John McCain and was stopped by her people.
“They also call it the Winged Isle. Some say it is because the island, if seen from above, would look like butterfly wings. And I do not know the truth of it.” Then, “ ‘And what is truth?’ said jesting Pilate.” From: The Truth Is A Cave In The Black Mountains by Neil Gaiman.

So, should we just throw the ROTTEN TOMATOES at the screen when she is on or save them for ROMNEY?

Willard and his 5 BOYS none of whom have ever seen military service and their HAWKISH sabre-rattling about the Middle East leave the POLITICALLY astute with one little statement about these poor little RICH boys...

Re: Looks like a dull convention

I need to chime in here, I served in the military I had a choice, be drafted I had already got my letter of Welcome by the US Army or enlist or go to Canada, sometimes looking back I think I picked the wrong choice however I did go into the USAF, then later the Army Reserve go figure. However I never wished my sons to go into the military if anything I told them not to. Again however my youngest son is trying to get back into the Army, he thinks and talks about little else. He said to me its my responsibility to serve and I have come to except his decision.

BTW he is an atheist and extremely liberal so I guess you could say it not GOD and Country but just Country.

So I don't blame Mitts kids for not going into the military, if given the choice I would never have gone myself. I don't want my sons to feel that they must make a trip to some wall to pay their respects to friends and relatives that died in a was we would rather forget, I still need to make that trip.

Notice to all you right wing holler then thou born again what ever, Atheist, and Liberals wave the flag just as high and love this country no less then you do, so get over yourself.

    River,

I agree with you. In my time you didn'y have much choice. Either get drafted into the army and go to Viet Nam or enlist in another branch and take your chances, unless you were lucky enough to qualify for a deferrment. I choose to enlist in the USAF. Today there is no longer the threat of being drafted and sent into a war zone.

Re: Looks like a dull convention

Regardless, there IS quite a level of hypocrisy here with the criticism of Obama making his best efforts to extricate the U.S. from TWO wars that George W. Bush got going in the Middle East and the shithead running for President who shall be UNNAMED that makes comments about war with Iran and how the current president should be going to war with them.

All the while the shithead in question is RICH, and has 5 sons none of whom have had to serve in the military. Notice I say HAD to serve. The draft was not the only reason people had to serve in the military. Some HAD to serve because they had NO ECONOMIC CHOICE in the matter.

It was either force your family into poverty with NO MEDICAL CARE or enlist in the military and make a livable life for yourself and your family. I have TWO good friends who did this for just the reasons that I have stated. This was in the POST Vietnam era.

Of course, some shitheads are born RICH. You both know the type...they are chickenhawks.

Cool Re: Looks like a dull convention

    River and Mac

That is why we need a draft for any
"Not At War, War" action lasting over 8 months.

With a spread the bleeding draft, Iraq would not have
become our longest running military action. Or is it Afghanistan.
Like Baby Bush, I confuse the two military actions.
