My blood pressure has been creeping up for a couple of years and it was getting to the point that I was getting a complex because I knew the point would come up of taking medicine. So far (64) I am getting by with only B12 and really want to resist getting on a prescription drug if at all possible. Finally it got to the point that I was going to have to do something.
So I changed habits. I limit myself to one cup of coffee per day (vs. several before). I got a bottle of everything at the health food stores which might apply. CoQ, celery seeds, manganese, potassium and niacin. I bought a blood pressure meter at CVS for about $60 and it became my newest favorite toy, using it several times a day.
In the last six weeks my blood pressure has fallen to well within the normal range and I actually got one reading that was too low. Now I am trying to whittle back all the pills to see what works on a maintenance basis. I ran out of the CoQ and not taking it seems to make no difference. I plan about every two weeks to eliminate one of the others and see if it makes any difference.
