    Re: The French

Mac, maybe we should just end all tax, no tax at all for anything, how would you like that, would you be able to survive?

Mac, the only thing you have herd here about tax is that the 1% needs to be taxed back to a 2000 level as the tax cuts for the rich are killing us, or had you not noticed?

I think the French believe taxation is a money tree they can all live off. I lived there and worked there on and off and found the French very nice and I think most of their bad press is just bad. Their tax rates are sky high but their socialistic outlook is just part of their culture. What will be their wake up call?
Smoothie. Did you read any of the link or just opinionated?
There are tax rates and "taxes actually paid" after tax gamesmanship.
You know the Progressive message on tax gamesmanship and "get it" with in the broader context per the links provided, I hope.
What amazes me is the current crop of "Progressives" all come from the GOP.
Progressives oppose financing too much of the recovery on the backs of the middle middle anymore.

Please do not confuse Liberals with Progressives. Their is some overlap just as their is with the GOP.

BTW it is objectionable to say I have made recovery and tax synonymous , there will always be taxes. I am saying someones are not paying their fair share for too long. Just like other Progressives.
From now on, please copy/paste quote me and not misrepresent me.

Everyone is a Progressive like everyone is a Pepper too.
The classical definition found by searching "Progressive Tax" will do nicely.

PARIS -- French President-elect François Hollande didn't wait to take office to press his agenda for digging Europe out of economic crisis: He met yesterday with the European Union president and presented his case for joint European bonds and government stimulus to boost growth.
Powerhouse Germany isn't fond of either idea, at least not now, and wants other European governments to tighten their budgets first.

If France and Germany each practice their own recovery, we may compare Percolate Up vs Trickle Down recovery theories over the next years.

    Thanks! Re: The French

    Progressive Thought?

    UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING...

    PROGRESSIVE THOUGHTS

First: Everything that happens today, that happened yesterday and which will happen tomorrow is based on, and is the result of, the Philosophy held by the ones who make things happen. In other words, the absolute and most important aspect of today's government, business and religious activity is the "Philosophy" by which people and organizations operate. Or, to put it another way, what people think, or believe, is all-important in determining why they have done what they have done, and what they will do.

You have your own personal philosophy and you will judge the philosophy of others by comparing it to your own philosophy. Most individuals have a pretty good idea of what is right and what is wrong. Yet, people often have goals that are not compatible with their own original natural native humane philosophy by which they know right from wrong. This conflict produces guilt and stress, and demands that they both hide their true goals from others, and modify their own personal philosophy to make it compatible with their own goals and guilt. Indeed, one must learn to hide the truth of his goals and his true humane philosophy even from himself. Thus, if wealth and power at the expense of others becomes one’s goal, he/she must accept an unnatural philosophy that makes such striving into a virtue, especially if that goal is gained at the expense and harm of others. Such people seek out others who have, likewise, modified their own personal humane philosophy, and thus, they find assistance, companionship and a rationale to help them in seeking their own personal selfish goals.

It is vital in politics, business and even religion that “others” (those not of our philosophy, organization and group) be kept in ignorance as to what our group’s philosophy and goal really is. So, one’s attempt to gain wealth and power at the expense of others must not only be kept secret, but that group must also change the meaning of their terminology so that their goals sound like acceptable motives. Thus, “Peace” can actually come to mean “War.” “Democracy” can mean “dictatorship.” “Security” can mean “tyranny” and loss freedom.

So to begin, one’s Philosophy is the most important aspect of politics, business, religion and all other disciplines (if we may stretch the truth and call the above "disciplines").

It is one’s philosophy that selects both the goals and the agendas in all areas of their own life. Hey! Read that again. It is very important!

It is one’s personal goals that create one’s personal philosophy and agendas. Hey! That’s important too. That may sound like an enclosed loop but there are always feeder lines into the minds of everyone that tends to nudge one in a particular direction. The greatest of these feeder lines are culture and religion. Beware; the spoiler of all philosophy is curiosity, or the hunt for truth, the open mind. Such open mindedness may cause one to examine his philosophy in a new light and that examination may cause a new philosophy to form in the mind.

Next, any philosophy must not only have some goals, but must also have some rules or guidelines. This keeps our Progressive Philosophy restrained and confined to those things, which we wish to influence. Here are the rules I think should govern all beneficial and Progressive Philosophy.

    1. Do not do to others what you would not have others do to you (have compassion).
    2. Leave everything better than you found it (be responsible).

These are not religious rules. They are not ecological rules. They are not political rules. One does not need divine wisdom to arrive at the truth of these goals or rules. These rules are common sense. These rules are humane, socially constructive observations and conclusions. History will confirm that when these rules have been applied to the activities of man, good things have happened. I admit there are few historical examples to examine, but this also proves the wisdom of these rules when we view history in light of NOT following these rules. If one accepts these rules, his Philosophy, built on this foundation will have a built in reward system. Cause and effect is still an unbreakable universal law. Cause and effect is a heartless but just law. You will reap what you sow. One who follows these rules (laws) will have the following of all honest people. Of course, honest people are still in the minority.

Those (the majority) who oppose these guidelines and rules that I have revealed have issued their own guidelines and rules upon which they base their philosophy. They are:

    1. Do to others before they do it to you (show no compassion).

    2. Use and control everything to make a personal profit (accept no responsibility).

Any honest, true and helpful philosophy must begin with our two truths and not with the rules of the elite and the enslavers of mankind. Man is a human animal and as such, he must have good air to breath, clean water to drink and healthy food to eat. These are the basic necessities of all life. Ignore any one of these needs or show no responsibility for any reason and the outcome is tragedy. When anyone, or any group, seeks a monopoly, tax, or personal control of these necessities of life, the whole world must stand up in rebellion and condemn, in no uncertain terms, this travesty against mankind. When any group seeks to make a profit from the destruction of these necessities, they must be removed from that position which enables them to subvert or destroy these necessities of life.

It is NEVER good business to kill the goose (the air, water, environment and people) that lays the golden eggs.

Seeing the importance of philosophy in our public and private lives, we must construct our own philosophy so as to include these basic needs of mankind. We wish to proceed to our Progressive Agenda. However, we cannot discuss a Progressive Agenda until we define some of the words flung around at us like mashed potatoes in a food fight. These words and phrases have been redefined and reapplied by those with greedy personal agendas. These new definitions are kept secret so they may more easily deceive the people. Such opposite uses and meanings of words applied to our original accepted philosophic concepts of those terms and words, both confuse and mislead those who trust those authorities. A few examples follow.

National Security. What in God's name does that mean? Of course, it means exactly what the user wants it to mean (according to his philosophy). To users of it, that term means, My Business Security, My Political Security, My Wealth Security, My Business Aggression, My Political Aggression and even My Religious Aggression. National Security means, let us hide our secret agenda from the people (who would surely oppose it). To hide our agenda we must lie and misrepresent what we are trying to do, hide what our intents are. We must hide our goals from the people. National Security means, let us use National Security to remove our local and political enemies so they may not oppose us and oppose our personal philosophy and agenda. National Security means, let us keep secret all of the immoral, destructive, and harmful inventions, drugs, chemicals, diseases and such, which we invent. It means, let us allow industry to make their profits (and share them with us) at the expense of our citizens and their welfare. We must keep our motives well hidden. National Security means hiding and protecting our crimes and our criminals. And lots MORE.

Democracy. This is a false front, a facade. It is a secret program designed by The Corporations of America used to get the voting public to vote for their own enslavement. It is a slogan used to get other nations to open their doors and borders to allow international corporations to steal the wealth and resources of other countries. Democracy is the leveling of the political ground used in order to infuse new rules and regulations into the political system to enable corporations to rule and rape a population. It is Mobocracy, Not to be confused with liberty or freedom.

Education. That means official propaganda. Withhold the truth and teach the lie. Rewrite history so that it supports our aims and ambitions. Make those who oppose us look like criminals and enemies. That means, let us warp the minds and lives of our children and adults so they will become robots and not resent our authority or our plans for world conquest in the future. Let us educate the people just enough so they will accept the rationalizations of our secret goals and plans. Debunk true facts and truth and offer our alternate “truth.” Brain washing, entertainment, games, gambling, pornography, rewards and recognition to those who follow our agenda.

Liberal. The true enemy of our God and country. Those that are compassionate and logical. A budding socialist or an infant communist. The ability to evaluate a situation and present a humane solution that provokes and angers conservatives. Bleeding hearts.

Conservatism. Opposite of progressive. The concept that what was known and believed one hundred years ago should be today’s standard belief and behavior. The use of hysteria and emotionalism as valid arguments to defend the status quo. If that fails, use the law and military to coerce compliance. Brand the opposition as liberals and bleeding hearts.

For the good of our citizens. This term has recently been replaced with the term, For the good of our children. This illusion and trick is known to all magicians. It is called slight of hand or slight of mind. You focus emphasis and attention on one thing out there while you are actually getting your rabbit ready to be pulled from the hat with the other hand. The more beneficent and helpful the slight of mind presented to us, the more dangerous is the rabbit to our well being and future. "For the good of our citizens" and "For the good of our children" is the most dangerous phrase in the "New Speak" of our politicians, religious clerics and businessmen in this country. Upon hearing it, one should run like crazy for the nearest exit.

Peace. This word is the most over worked word in politics, religion and business today. What Peace really means to the political, business and religious users of today is, "If you want peace you must do what we tell you to do - or else!" Peace means war, turmoil, chaos and loss of freedom, loss of lives, loss of health, loss of knowledge and loss of truth. Peace will come when everyone agrees with us and does what we ask them to do. In the philosophy of the elite religious, political and corporate rulers, peace is something you get when you die – maybe – if you do what we say you should do. Slavery-hood.

Freedom. This word means, Freedom for me to do what I want to do and freedom for you to do what I tell you to do. It means fingerprinting, eye scans, identity cards and papers. Freedom means surveillance of you, your business, your life, your thoughts, reading material and what you watch on TV and say on the telephone and Internet. Freedom means restrictions and trouble for you if you don't agree and cooperate with me. Freedom means whatever I say it means.

Racist. This means, you are a racist and I am not a racist, or you will never know it if I am. You may go to jail if you use the “N” word, or the “J” word, or the “S” word, or the “I” word or the “C” word. What is the “C” word? Why, it is the Constitution of the Unites States of America.

Anti-Semitic. Not a Zionist. A term used to deflect attention and to cover up: crime, plunder, corruption, occupation, genocide, monetary theft, banking fraud, currency fraud, blackmail, favoritism, lies, manipulation of security information, media control, corporate control of congress and legislation, murder, torture, hate, use of entertainment to corrupt the minds of citizens, rigging of elections, drug running, control of prostitution, control of pornography, control of major corporations, insurance fraud, corruption and control of major religions, control of security agencies, high level spying of friends and foes, contamination of medicines for profit and a multitude of other degradations. You are either with us or against us. Most of today’s Jews are not Semitic. They are Khazars.

Constitution of these Several United States of America. An ancient document to be spoken of with reverence and respect. An impediment to our goals and secret plans and, therefore, the interpretation of it must be updated to concur with our plans. Replaced by a fluid concept of government. A judicial toy to be tinkered with as our needs and goals change. A document whose authors could not think beyond the eighteenth century. Just a damned old yellow scrap of paper.

Patriotism. This means, if you agree with me, my methods and my philosophy, you are a patriot. If you do not agree with me, you are a "pinko" or traitor and you will have your name put on a “no fly list,” have your income tax audited (or worse). You are either with me (a patriot) or you are with the traitors.

Justice. This means IF you have worked hard, made lots of high political friends, belong to the right political party, schemed to amass a large sum of money, and supported our philosophy, you deserve justice. A system set up to give justice to the criminals and the rich and to deny justice to the poor and wrong thinkers. You can get all the justice you can afford. A decision bought with money or blackmail. Isn't this a great country - or what?

Equal Rights. This concept is applied only to us. "Others" (those not of our belief, nationality, color, economic status and sometimes those not of our party) may not qualify unless we decide that it is to our advantage to allow them "Equal Rights." A commodity to be bargained for, marched for, burn cars and buildings for, steal for and sometimes to kill for. Some people are more equal than others like illegal immigrants, and men, and rich men, and very rich men, and CEOs, and presidents, and bankers and banks, and Oil companies, and especially pharmaceutical companies, and Halliburton (especially Halliburton too).

Illegal Drugs. Natural plants which if legalized would destroy a great portion of the profits of the oil industry, the pharmacology industry and the paper industry. Farmers in this country could make a living again and furnish income and jobs to the country instead of depending on government and business to shore them up. Before WW I, Marijuana was the largest and most profitable crop grown in the USA. Illegal drugs are the greatest criminal money making opportunity since the tulip craze. It is one of the largest businesses in the USA today, filtering huge sums of money into party coffers, banks, stock markets, private accounts, and corporations. Statistics and lies are bought and paid for by industry to deceive the public. Please, the corporations beg! Keep these drugs illegal - or we will lose our power, our excuse (slight of mind) for controlling people, for ruining their lives and losing our unbelievable profits. Sold in Drug Stores by prescription as expensive substitute medicines from doctors who profit as they prescribe these substitutes for the real natural plants. Our ladder to the good life.

Drug War. This excuse (slight of mind) is used to enslave the American people, take away all their freedoms, enrich the elite bank accounts, conquer foreign countries in order to gain control of their natural resources, institute a type of dictatorship (for our own good and that of our children) and to raises taxes. Actually, the drug war is the instrument of our dissolution as a republic or democracy. The drug war is the single worst happening in this country - EVER. (Until the Patriot Act.)

War on Terror. This is fast replacing the war on drugs and will finish stealing all the remaining freedoms left over from the drug war. This is the philosophy used to enslave the people of the USA and the rest of the world. Introduction to the New World Order.

Vote. The imaginary control the citizens have over their own government. The vote is easily manipulated and controlled by propaganda, theft of votes and miscounting them. A political “sugar teat” to make people think they have some say in the programs and agenda of government, corporate business and the economy. The choice between Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dumb.

Inside Source. Gossip! The cook? The errand boy? The maid? The switchboard operator? The dirty tricks operator? Thin air? The advocate? Someone with a conscious who knows the harm being done to their children because they are on the inside of what is going on. A whistle blower. A future prisoner. Traitor. Who knows? Who should listen? Gossip!

Leak. Inside information used to harm someone, to scare the people and sometimes the attempt of an honest person to warn others of the wrongful use of power.

Surrogate. A substitute for the real thing. Such as, surrogate government, surrogate president, surrogate party, surrogate justice, surrogate drugs - and so forth.

    Afro-American. See Votes.

Condemn. Our legal rights to take what is yours and use it for the good of the citizens - or anything else which benefits us, big business and the one world government.

Minimum Wages. Your right to be a slave to your boss, your government and big business. Another sugar teat.

Unions. An evil consortium organized by criminals to beat big business over the head and make them observe safe working conditions, pay a decent wage and observe humane obligations of one person to another. To be scorned and criminalized. A communist plot.

Credit. The ability to sell a product to you for more than it is worth, and to make you pay two or three times more than that amount. The easiest way for banks to steal your home and money. The chain with which you and your children become slaves to your government. Bondage. Servitude.

Consensus. The use of blackmail, extortion, inducements, lies and threats to receive a "Yes" vote from someone - or several candidates. Will you vote for our candidate, or would you rather be classified a traitor, or have your income tax audited or go to jail? You choose!

News. What we wish to tell you. What we need for you to know so you will agree with us. Selective propaganda. Hired and prostituted media.

Poll. The ability to ask a question in such a manner that only fools and the ignorant would answer wrongly. Example: (1) Do you favor war with China? (2) Or, do you favor trade with China instead?

Environment. My front yard. (The back yard doesn’t count.)

Women's Rights. The rights, which men do not want. The right to be pregnant (and remain pregnant). The right to receive less pay for equal work. The right to be abused and raped by husbands, bosses and others. The right to be a lesbian. The right to vote: See Votes.

Abortion. An imaginary line dividing God's side from the Devil's side, the right side from the wrong side. This abortion conflict demonstrates the Immaculate Assumption of Divine Authority by the "self appointed." This abortion line demonstrates that the "self appointed" believe they worship a wimpy and wishy-washy God whose judgment they cannot trust. They neither believe this God can rightly judge which is the right side from that which is the wrong side, nor that his judgment will be as just, swift and harsh as will be their judgment. This is the invisible tennis ball of today's politics.

Gay. A feared concept that is about to engulf the world. Gay is the ability of a man to love a man and a woman to love a woman. The "self appointed" hate the thoughts of love for our fellow man (or woman). Love must be restricted to religion and marriage - sometimes. Love for all mankind and womaankind is the prerogative and personal property of God only and should not be the responsibility of man (See Equal Rights.)

Evolution. The concept that God made the world (and the universe) in tiny little steps.

Creation. The concept that God created the world (and the universe) in one giant leap (or one big sneeze).

Intelligent Design. See creation and evolution.

Common Sense. An antiquated and out of use concept, which contends that honest clear thinking and logic will enable us to solve our problems. It is used only by the idealists and people who hold disruptive and primitive concepts in politics, business and religion. An ancient imaginary principle that if universally applied would destroy the profit motive, war, prohibitions, usury, religion, democracy, current education, the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, our judicial system and most of our laws. Honest Clear Thinking!

Citizens. Puppets, consumers, sheep, gullible, pleasure seekers, selfish, blind and those who will believe the unbelievable. Soon to be replaced by the term “Subjects.” Government fodder. Soldiers. Tax payers. Tax payers. Tax payers. Tax p...

In God We Trust. This is a phrase and concept used by politicians, holy men, bankers and businessmen to steal our retirement, our health care, our money and our future. In God We Trust is soon to be added to everything including medical attention and health care. Individual initiative. You trust in God, we will trust in power and in your money. A slogan added to our money to increase the supposed value of the dollar. The only real value of our dollar. Also, the idea and claim that we can be issued an Eternal Life Insurance Policy by God or the Church. If you trust in God you will not need health care, food stamps, Social Security, a decent wage, safety rules in war or industry. The slogan of the greedy, bandits, corporations, politicians, religious leaders, banks, etc…

Social Security. The concept of doing for others what you wish they would do for you. Social Security is soon to be replaced by Divine Security. This is accomplished by eliminating civil concern for our sick and our older folks, removing their civil safety net and replacing it with the faith based slogan of “In God We Trust” to be hung next to a picture of Jesus. We have already done this with our currency, with our justice and with our national philosophy. “In God We Trust” is applied only to the people. “In Wealth and Power We Trust” is applied to those who rule over us.

Supreme Court. A group of nine people appointed for life. Selected by different presidents with different philosophies for different purposes. Expected to judge cases in favor of the present philosophy and agenda of the powerful, the wealthy and the corporations. They do not disappoint those who appointed them. A rubber stamp of the Corporate States of America.

Enemy. A fluid concept that identifies yesterday’s enemy as today’s friend, and today’s friend as today’s enemy when they fail to follow orders. A nation that has lots of needed resources. A scapegoat for false flag operations. A group we can blame for our failures and crimes. A future friend when they learn to do what we say to do. A slight-of-mind diversion while we get our rabbit of tyranny ready to pull from the hat.

Truth. The lie we are telling you today.

Financial Aid. The strings and chains used to enslave the poor, the misfortunate and the needy. The ruse used to collect wealth and income from the unsuspecting. A political football. A stick used to make states and groups conform to our philosophy and goals. The lifeline of the state of Israel that controls how much Financial Aid they drain from the government and the banks (which they own). A lifesaver vest for the ship of state made out of concrete.

Grants. A process used to finance and aid those who will sell their skills and position to support our agendas and lies. A bribe.

Patriot Act. The political attempt to negate the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. The last step to instituting a dictatorship. The bowl of potage for which we sold our birthright. The front line of the New World Order.

Gun Control. The attempt to remove weapons of security from our citizens so the criminals and politicians can have free reign to terrorize us and make slaves of us all.

Diplomacy. The method of using talk, promises and threats to gain what we want.

Now that we have gotten a handhold on some of the terms used today to educate (read brain wash) us, we must begin to examine a Progressive Philosophy to guide us to those concepts, which the majority of the citizens of this country know are right and helpful. The secret to changing the minds and attitudes of the citizens of this country is that we must teach people to THINK. Only honest thought followed by honest action can save us from the ultimate destruction of our country, our freedoms and maybe our world. Tyranny is present with us.

Tyranny is buying a house in Washington, DC and plans to stay.

    Re: The French

    PROGRESSIVE PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy is the love of wisdom, the search for it, the understanding of it, the persevering of it, the presentation of it and the application of it. Philosophy is thinking - hard and honest thinking. Progressive Philosophy is thinking outside of our biases, prejudices, opinions and cultural concepts. Progressive Philosophy is utilizing logic and our honest common sense on those facts that we gather from our research and from that of others. Philosophy is especially the projection of our conclusions. By using honest progressive philosophy, we can better understand the past, the future and especially the present.

The term “Progressive Philosophy” is actually redundant. For indeed, all philosophy should be progressive. The true concept of philosophy automatically includes the concept of progression. That is, we progress from one truth to another truth by using the Clear Thinking Philosophy. The reason we must use this redundant term is that much so called philosophy is really static and deals with traditional cultural opinions and cultural concepts rather than with known facts and the new emerging facts. Progressive Philosophy is also experimental and is willing to go where few have trod before. It is also willing to change its conclusions in light of new facts.

The first stage in dealing with progressive philosophy is learning to think – independently and sometimes that includes being non-progressively. What, you say? It is true. Assuming one has learned to think, and that is the hardest part, one must learn to think in the same manner that a child might play with tinker toys. Just because one has an idea, that does not make him a thinker. A thinker will tinker with his thinking, with his facts, with his conclusions and with his own biases and prejudices. The progressive philosopher will put seemingly unrelated facts together and experiment with them. The philosopher always asks, “What if I look at it this way?”

Another aspect of progressive thinking is to know the foundations upon which most thinking is based. To think progressively, it is often best to discard all of the foundations upon which one has learned to think and upon which he bases his conclusions. The reason for this rejection of foundations is that foundations often become authoritative and produce limits of concepts and they restrict exploration into new areas and new directions of thought.

Only those who know the foundations, but who can think independently from them, become our concept of great thinkers and movers in philosophy and science. Independence from authorities, concepts, procedures, and the like is the bases upon which genius stands and is able to flower. Genius is always a loner and often refutes the old foundations. Often it rests its conclusions on its own new thinking and sometimes builds new foundations upon which to draw its new conclusions.

Einstein’s famous papers were submitted to the most influential science journal in Germany. At that time that meant the world. His conclusions were founded on revolutionary, experimental and progressive thinking (progressive philosophy). There were no footnotes, no citations and no resort to any foundation or authority - except his own thinking. Those are the only science papers (I know about) ever published in and by a qualified scientific journal that had no resort to any authority. If such papers were submitted today, they would get no closer than the round file. This attitude of being bound to and limited by foundations and customs is a total disservice to progressive genius, thinking and philosophy.

Example one: In the past, if you wished to study gravity, you were immediately bound to the foundational concept of mass, speed and distance (from Einstein and Newton). Only when you think outside of this base do you find that there are different possibilities and explanations for the way things are other than the concept of mass, speed, distance and gravity. Immanuel Velikovsky published a dispute to the theories of gravity in the book “Worlds in Collision.” He said electrical plasma, electrical charge, space harmonics and magnetism as well as gravity held planets and solar systems and galaxies together. He said that bodies in space communicated with each other and that they acted and reacted to each other. He was hounded, ridiculed and ostracized by the scientific community. Velikovsky has been verified by today’s scientific studies of the anomalies of our sun, comets and earth relationships and by the anomalies in the mass theory of gravity and planetary relationships. Engineers cannot use Einstein’s theories to control space objects. They must modify Newton’s principles to control spacecraft and satellites. Presently, electromagnetism, plasmatic electrical energy, space harmonics and other possibilities are being studied and verified as foundations for the way things are.

Thus, has the study of gravity been given new versatility of concept by a couple of thinkers who rejected the old foundations. We now have anti gravity according to several insiders and it is derived from the use of electricity, magnetism and back engineering of alien space ships.

Example two: If you wish to deal with science and physics, you must reject the foundational concept, which states that the universe is a toy of the supernatural and that some god plays with it daily. You must reject the concept that some aspects of the universe are off limits to the questing mind of mankind. You must reject the foundation that prayer can change the outcome of an experiment – or anything else. To think clearly and progressively about any subject you must reject these foundations. But you must keep an open and questing mind since is seems to be confirmed that we live in a multi dimensional universe in which we can draw energy from another dimension.

Example three: If you wish to deal with ethics and morality, you must reject the earlier foundations of the religions and their concepts of ethics and morality that states that morality is of divine origin. You must reject their reasons for needing ethics and morals. You must return to “zero” and explore the subject from there. You must ascertain man’s true needs and goals in order to reach the true needs and concepts for ethics and morals. You must redefine ethics and morals along lines that reject the old religious propositions and claims. In other words, you must reject established authority and establish a new foundation that eliminates past prejudices. You must include the proposition that nature’s law of cause and effect is always in operation.

We are now ready to begin looking at progressive philosophy as it deals with morals and ethics. First, “progressive” does not mean “Political Liberal or Religious Liberal.” “Progressive” does not mean, “political or religious left” as opposed to “political or religious right.” “Progressive” does not mean anti religious. It does not mean the abandonment of our goals. It is not regressive. It does not mean a retreat from proven moral or ethical concepts.

What “progressive” does mean is that there must be a continued hunt for Truth. It means development, advancement, evolution, improvement, growth, expansion, innovation, modernization, extension and such like. Progressive means open-minded, unbiased, flexible, tolerant, liberal, accessible, understanding and charitable. “Progressive” sounds almost like the qualifications for sainthood, doesn’t it? Well, progressive philosophy is our personal goal and inside of that definition, we will fashion our philosophy of morality and honest ethics, which I will call “Progressive Moral Philosophy.”

We reject the goals and needs for morality and ethics as presented to us by the religions (that is, morality is God given and is a commandment from a Deity). Upon what then do we erect our philosophy? My suggestion is that we erect our philosophy upon the needs of man and upon his desire and need for civilization. This philosophy must be erected on the observable fact that man is in an evolutional state moving from the grip of barbarianism (animalistic) and is moving toward at oneness with himself and with the universe. He is moving toward the understanding of universal truths and aligning himself with those truths and powers. Progressive morality is observing, understanding and controlling the law of cause and effect. We learn what is good by watching the law of cause and effect as it plays out in society, globally and in our personal lives. I shall also inject a bit of mysticism by way of common sense.

First of all, you don’t start wandering around under the streetlight hunting for your lost wallet just because there is a light there. You try to hunt for it where it might be. All Progressive Philosophy starts with two things. First, there are the facts and then there are the goals for which we aim. Since there are so many billions of facts, those facts must be culled down to those that are pertinent to your goal. So, what is our goal?

Our goal is to understand the need, the role and the utilization of morality and ethics in our development as individuals and in our social development (our civilization). We must find out “If” and “Why” good morals and ethics are important to our personal and social development. Then we must apply our new knowledge to our decisions, agendas and activities. Now we are ready to work back and hunt for those facts that pertain to our goals.

Why do we classify some things as good and some things as bad? Why can we not agree on what to classify as good and what to classify as bad? Here is a secret. We classify good and bad according to what we have been taught by our authorities. Based on these authorities, we select what we “Believe” should be our goals. In other words, we do not all have the same beliefs and authorities, and therefore, we do not all have the same goals. Thus, we differ on what is good and what is bad. “What is good for General Motors is good for the country.” (Or the world.) This is a quote from an executive of that company in long years past. If this GM goal was so good, then the world and General Motors would be in great shape. Since the world and General Motors are in a heap of trouble, maybe their philosophy and their goals are WHY we are in so much trouble. After all, General Motors is just a representative of all our corporations and invisible governments.

We have religions that tell us that what is good for their religion is good for the world. We have philosophies that tell us that what is good according to their philosophy is good for the world. General Motors does not have a monopoly on telling us what is good for us. We are going to set aside those questions about what is good for us for a bit and look at something else.

What is the use in even having or classifying something as good or bad if there seems to be no future in it for us? We will talk then about three different futures, and therefore, three different foundations for our goals. They are:

    Individual futures,

    Collective futures and

    Mystical futures.

Well, what are individual futures? How about good health, long life, comfort, tranquility, safety, justice, harmony, good food, good air, good health care, security, sex, good education and a multitude of good futures for which we all wish? Say, wouldn’t all these things also apply to our collective futures? I think so. If you have those things in mind, then what is a Mystical future?

We have two choices here. Either there is something for us after this life or there is not. If yes, then is this future a natural thing or is it a “religious” thing? If it is a religious future then our future will depend on what we believe, that is, on our religious philosophy. If it is a natural thing then all people are subject to this natural future and the basis of that would have to be our own individual mental and personal development. Any future, after this life, will apply to all people and will be influenced by their own personal development. In other words, our mystical future will also depend on our own personal philosophy and self-development. In either case, we should try then to find and live the right philosophy. So, some people will have an excellent future and some will have a terrible future.

If there is no mystical future at all, then this leaves us only the individual and collective futures upon which to base our goals and philosophy. If there is something for us after this life, we could try to decide what that future is so we may select the proper goals to accompany and obtain the best from that future. We will sum up our mystical future at this point by simply calling it – “unknown.” In any case, we are dependent on our philosophy. Of course, there may be a mystical future that is not religious but which could be called spiritual (or ghostly or whatever.) In other words, we must reject the old foundation that claims our future (after death) is religious because all concepts of the future depend on our philosophy and our adherence to it. Since we are not ready to deal with this yet, we will let it lie dormant for a while and get back to it at a later date.

Everyone and every institution wishes to teach us their philosophical version of morals and ethics. I shall use the term morals to also encompass the concept of ethics. Now think about this: If you were a dictator what would be your goals and your philosophy? Well look here! You would teach the people to follow the exact same morals as taught to us by the Christian religion (and most religions).

Why? Dictators, governments and religions must control the thinking and actions of the people. The people must be taught to Believe and Obey. They must be taught that obedience is a patriotic and religious requirement from which they will reap great rewards in the future. They must be taught that morals and ethics are always what the authorities say they are - “Today.” We must add “today” because tomorrow there may be, and will be, new concepts taught. For instance, hate and murder are great and good moral concepts when applied against the “enemy.” War, murder and mayhem becomes a virtue under the philosophic foundation of governments and religions when applied to those who disagree with our authorities. They must also be taught that slavery (by any other name) is a wonderful concept that unites the authorities and the people in necessary common goals and in future common good (for the good of our children). They must be taught that bad is really good. They must be taught that good should never be extended to the enemies (whoever they say are the enemies.) Ponder that.

Do not forget. Morals are the means to the goals. What are the goals of the dictator? The goals are to make everyone into a subject that will believe what the dictator says because he always tells the truth. In religion, this is called faith and in government, it is called patriotism. The ultimate goal of the dictator is domination of others, domination of resources, domination of wealth, domination of thinking (belief) and domination of the environment. In fact, the goal of the dictator is domination over everything. Ditto for religion.

A bit ago, we named some of our individual and collective futures or goals. We can summarize all these futures and goals in the word “Justice.” Do the morals of obedience taught by the dictator or the priest conform to our individual goals and to justice? Indeed Not! Then how can the dictator (and the religions) cause us to abandon our personal justice and future goals in order for him (or they) to accomplish the goal of domination over us? The first thing a religion or a dictator does is to redefine “Justice.” They declare and place into law the concept that “Justice is what ever they say it is.” They pass civil “laws” to enforce and prove their points. The religions pass religious “laws” and claim divinity and antiquity as their proof.

Here is another secret. The dictator scares people into obeying him. Sometimes he says, “Obey me or die.” Now you can bet I will obey. Sometimes he says, “Obey me or go to jail.” I have to weigh that. Sometimes he says, “Obey me so we can defeat our (my) enemy.” That takes a whole lot of weighing. When he says, “Please vote to obey me or I will lose my power over you,” I will now resist. Of course, I have reversed the sequence of the “obey me” commands.

How does the dictator or preacher get from “please obey me” to “obey me or die?” He uses lies to get from there to here. Lies include promises, deceptions, implementation of fear, secrecy, thefts, spying, assassinations, murders, ballot box stuffing, planned destructions and killings blamed on some one else (false flag activity), propaganda, division of the people (Republicans or Democrats) (pro life and pro choice), provoking a group or nation into becoming an enemy and the like. It also includes staged celebrations, trappings of authority, inducements, threats, rewards for following orders, using media blackouts to cover failures, manufactured news and a multitude of other things (just like religion).

Hey, we are still talking about morals and ethics here. The point of all this is that the dictator uses our own morals and humanity to accomplish his rise to rulership over the people. He places fear into our minds claiming that if we do not give him power over us we will lose all our own goals and futures. Plus, he promises to see that we get the goals we want if we submit to him. History has shown that this type of morality used by the dictators and religions always brings servitude, hardship and the loss of the very things promised by the dictator or religion.

History becomes a procedure whereby we can weigh the merits of morals and ethics.

A person who is eighteen years old has very little personal history behind him and thus, has very little precedent upon which to base his personal morals and ethics. He has most likely been told (not taught) about some morals (good or bad). Morals cannot be taught. Even punishment does not teach morals. Punishment only teaches conduct. Conduct and morals is not the same thing though outwardly they may appear the same.

To know (understand) good (or bad) morals means one “learns” morals and ethics. An eighty-year-old man has learned some morals and ethics. He can “tell” the eighteen year old some morals and ethics but he cannot “teach” him morals and ethics. Only life and honest clear thinking (progressive philosophy) can teach morals and ethics. Why? Morals and ethics are the prime example of experimental progressive philosophy. They can only be “learned.” They can be told but they cannot be taught. Mistakes are the best teachers of morals. The problem is it takes time to get from the mistakes to the consequences, from actions to conclusions, from cause to effect.

If you ask a thief (politician or burglar, lawyer or clergyman, banker or stockbroker) if “his” stealing is moral, he can give you a hundred reasons why it is his legal right to steal, and therefore, it is moral. If you ask the victim if it is all right to steal, he can give you a hundred reasons why it is wrong and bad morals to steal. So, victims become the best yardstick as to whether something is good morals or bad morals.

If one suffers under what someone calls “good morals”

Then those morals are “bad” morals, not good morals.

If there were no thefts in any of its forms (including lies, which is theft of the truth), a gallon of gasoline would cost less than thirty cents. If there were no thefts, there would be no credit cards. If there were no thefts, there would be no war. If there were no thefts, there would be little to no interest on loans. If there were no thefts, there would be no Federal Reserve System. If there were no thefts, there would be no Israel. If there were no thefts, there would be no poverty. If there were no thefts, there would be no religions. If there were no thefts, there would be no dictators. If there were no thefts, there would be little need for lawyers. If there were no thefts, there would be no need for labor unions. If there were no thefts, there would be no corporations. If there were no thefts, there would be no need for our giant jail systems, and on goes the revelation and truth of this immorality of dishonesty, which the perpetrators call moral and good.

Our whole world runs on thefts and lies.

My friends, “You shall not steal and you shall not bare false witness.” That is the foundation of paradise. It is the foundation of good government. It is the bases for happiness and justice and all of our other goals and futures. Why then do we not insist upon some semblance of this truth in our daily lives and from our institutions?

Honesty and justice are good morals and they are wisdom of the first magnitude. Why? They bring us the individual and collective futures and goals for which we hope and pray.

So, the first thing we can agree on in our Progressive Philosophy is that “honesty and justice” is the wisdom upon which we must base our individual and collectives futures and goals. Otherwise, we must suffer and continue to suffer the bad morals and ethics of those in power in our country and our world. The “good morals” of our religions and our governments are killing us. Their “good morals” are ruining the earth, the food, the air, the water and worst of all they are destroying our future.

At the center of our progressive morality then is the need for personal development. Our minds and our bodies have latent powers and abilities that can change us into true humanity. The religions have outlawed and mocked our personal attempts at development of these powers and have labeled the attempt to discover and develop these powers as “witchcraft” or as being in league with the devil. Religion claims to do for the individual what only the individual can do for himself. Religion wishes to substitute “obedience to a religious prescription called salvation” in place of our own personal development. We may indeed call this personal development and evolution of the human mind and body as a personal spiritual enterprise.

Religion has manufactured a disease called “sin” for which they have invented a prescription or cure they call “salvation.” (Sounds like modern medicine to me.) This deception they label or call “Spiritual.” In reality, this is nothing more than religious control and makes the followers of this folly little more than slaves to the religions. Sin and salvation is little more than a fabrication to stifle our own personal quest for personal development and spiritual growth. Our personal progressive philosophy frees us from this deception and delusion.

In dealing with our mystical future, we must ask some questions: “Is the world and its beginnings a religious enterprise or a natural happening? If the world and universe is a natural happening, is the future (after death) not also a natural happening? If the world is a religious happening, why is there not a more divine beneficial watch care over the earth its people and its problems? If it is a religious happening, why are there so many opposing religions and different views of the Gods, the after life, the methods of living and the methods of sin and salvation? Why do the various religion have such different philosophies? If the world were a natural happening, would things not be expected to be exactly as they are today (given man’s gullibility)? If the world were a religious happening, would we not expect things to be different and more sublime than they are now?

So, the main question now is does man have an after life? Nothing in the progressive philosophy prohibits it. What it does prohibit is an unjust method of determining what happens to us in an after life. If the world is religious, by definition it must be just. No justice could condemn a person for not believing such unbelievable claims as is put forward by the religions (all of them). Besides, which religious is God in charge of here anyway? Most people in the world belong to the Hindu religions. The Muslims are next and the Christians follow. None of those religions show or claim a just impartial God. “Just” means impartial, without biases or favor. Yet, the Christian religion claims that God is partial to the gullible (those who can believe their unbelievable claims).

The ancients and indeed early Christianity taught reincarnation. There cannot be demonstrated a more just scheme of things than reincarnation. Those born into crippled bodies or minds will also have the chance to be born into healthy bodies and minds. Bad cultures are followed by healthy cultures. Little chance to develop is counterbalanced by a greater chance. Eventually, all will have experienced all types of lives and given all types of opportunities.

    So, you are in your period of great opportunity. Adopt the Clear Thinking Progressive Philosophy in your life and you will make the most of it. Contrary to Christian and other religious claims, there is justice in the universe. It is called the Law of Cause and Effect. That is a law, which you cannot break. It is a law that has no forgiveness in it. It has only justice to offer. What a man sows is what that man will reap. What a society sows that is what that society will reap;

Here again are the rules of Progressive Philosophy.

    1. Do not do to others what you would not have others do to you (have compassion).
    2. Leave everything better than you found it (be responsible).

Follow these rules and guidelines and you will be safe in any future here after. Follow these rules and you will become spiritual. Follow these guidelines and your society will reap the rewards. Forsake these guidelines and you will have what you have today – and worse.

Hollande won't let Berlin deter his growth drive
PARIS (Reuters) - French president-elect Francois Hollande signaled to Germany on Thursday that he will not be deflected from his drive to change Europe's focus from austerity to growth after Chancellor Angela Merkel rejected any economic stimulus on credit.

DEAR EA. This represents a clash in economic cultures by members of the same currency.
Percolate Up Hollande & France vs Trickle Down Merkel & Germany.
Appreciate! How fascinating this is going to be as we watch it play out.
How will other nations and their austerity recovery programs react, politically and economically.
Compared to the austerity driven programs, will the French recovery jump start or stall over Hollande's progressive (classical def) programs?

Will I be able to "nyah nyah" Bob3 Ex-BFF over his NeoCon economic schooling?
