I realize this is the DPT (Dr Paul Thread) but no reference was made or intended, if you found one I hope it made you smile, but none was intended.

What you see is what I said, I did not mention any names other then our great president and the best friend of the Carnival Barker.

    2. Same question for Mitt?
    3. more importantly, if those taxes are eliminated who picks up the bill?

When in doubt, follow the money.

In other words, Ron Paul WOULD eliminate federal income taxes IF he got the chance... Therefore, HE SUPPORTS THE 1%!

This places him and Mittleschmertz Romney ON THE SAME STINKING SIDE...

...after all, they both are running as REPUBLICANS in the Republican Presidential Primary... what else could you expect?

Ron Paul’s ‘Audit the Fed’ bill passes the House
"The House of Representatives on Wednesday overwhelmingly approved the Texas Republican's bill to increase the transparency of the Federal Reserve. With bipartisan support, the measure passed 327-98. One Republican, Rep. Bob Turner of New York, joined 97 Democrats in voting against it. . . "

We can only hope Senate Democrats do not block passage.
Then on to Obama for a signature. Before November, please.

Don't count on it, Reed has most likely already throwing this in the trash with the 33 bills to do away with health care. This was another waist of tax payer money, passing bills in the house that will go nowhere.

Just because your favorite Paul sponsored it, does not mean its 1) a good bill, 2) will get passed by the senate without several changes then back to the house then back to the senate, then by that time they will all be home running for office.

I will never pass at least not this year.

This was nothing more then political theater.

And if the Republicans get an independent counsel or investigator, they'll create a new "crisis disaster" worthy of impeachment and terrible scandal. Much like the ever chaste and pure Newt Gingrich impeaching Clinton over a blow job. How about that Vince Foster murder, and the drug smuggling/murder ring in Arkansas.

Cool Re: Dr. Ron Paul, 2012?

If the Senate Democrats do not support it

    they give the GOP ammunition.

It will appear the Democrats are responsible for the do nothing Congress.
Especially since this bill has popular support. Right or wrong, people like it.

This is the work of a senile mind. The fed is already transparent. All of its figures are a matter of public record. We already know what the money supply,M1, is. It's posted daily. We already know what the prime rate is, it is posted daily. We already know what it costs to manufacture a given amount of money. We also know that this little act of political theater has just cost the US taxpayer $2 million. Thanks a lot Ron Paul.

    Let's say, you are correct.
If the Democrats oppose it, they will lose respect of people.
Right or wrong, this issue resonates well with people distrustful of how the nations money is managed.

    Re: Dr. Ron Paul, 2012?

Wrong Moi, this is the house republicans wasting money. Here is how the democrats can take care handle it, they accept it and send it to committee, its there for 3 weeks, then it comes out and is scheduled for review by the whole senate, one democrat who is in a safe state, say California who is not up for re-election Boxer, who is noted for fighting the system says, NO. the bill is dead, or the entire senate debates the bill makes changes because that's what it does, it calls for a vote and its approved and they hand it back to the house, this whole process take them to the "convention" then when the house gets back they must start all over because of some of the major changes to the bill added by the senate. Another week passes and they submit the bill back to the Senate, where it goes back to committee and the process starts again, Some senator calls for the 60 vote and it only gets 59 by design and one senator says if this and that were changed I could vote for it, so it goes back to the house with one more revision where the house gets it back out the door in 3 days. but now everybody is home campaigning hard because they don't want to be at work, they are trying to tell people what a wonderful job they have been doing so nothing happens until after the election when the house then sends it back to the senate where Reed schedules it for a vote and it wins, You have your bill, its now Nov 15th, they send it to the president where he sticks it in his pocket and forgets about it, its called a pocket veto.

And by this time moi, nobody in America will even remember the bill or care. Much like Ron Paul's run for the presidency.

Republicans are great at finding problems that don't exist while ignoring problems that do, this is called misdirection. McCarthy was great at it, for a while.

    River, DEAR.
    Rationally you are correct.
But, auditing the Fed has become a "Progressive Mantra" and the GOP has signed on.
As Emotional as the issue is; it will be a loser for the Democrats to oppose it.
Think Rational, Feel Emotional. Know the Difference.
Now if only every one would listen to me.
Auditing the Fed is NOT a rational issue anymore, politically speaking.
And I said it would be a loser for the Dems to oppose it. Emotionally feeling.

    Re: Dr. Ron Paul, 2012?

I do believe the Dems could easily explain that this would be a waist of money as it already takes place then lay it out. Then you could add that this is a republican attempt to add one more level of government which they keep saying there are to many of, finally the cost, with the country strapped already now the republicans want to spend how many millions of dollars that we don't have to find what? Can anybody say witch hunt.

Then add, if the GOP believes that there is wrong doing in an area then point that area/department out, and let the justice department do its job.

People are out of work, millions spent on government assistance and the GOP wants to go on a witch hunt.

The fire started in 1980, by 1990 it was a full blase by 2000 so headway was being made to get the fire under control, by 2010 the building was totally gutted and mop up was taking place, and now the GOP wants to build a fire department.

Moi, every branch of the government has an audit system in place, its the GAO that overseas everything. So what your saying is that the government office of accounting should have another office of accounting over it to see if its doing its job. by that logic we would need yet another office of accounting over it, so when and what will it take to get the GOP to find another problem that does not exist to chase and once again do their sleight of hand trick to get everybody looking one direction while fucking up something elsewhere.

OK Moi, pass the ruddy bill, however there can be no additional cost, not so much as a dime, it can and already is handled.

Another words Moi, the GOP once again are creating a problem where none exists.
