I don't think its about "family values" as much as his arrogance and lack of common sense. He is media savvy, and emailed pictures of himself to women he didn't know. Then he posted one by accident to TWITTER. After he did it, he lied, made up a story about being hacked, and made Andrew Breitbart almost look the victim by blaming it on him.

Also disturbing, to me at least, when asked if all the girls were at least 18 years old, the best he could say was "to the best of my knowledge"

You see, its very simple. I feel the same way no matter which party they represent.

Yes, his actions were scum. However, nobody has yet called women's posting of pictures of their breasts or pussies unethical. Does that mean pictures of weiners are more disgusting or that it is just a matter of who is doing it?

If he had admitted it in the beginning, apologised, and promised not to do it again it would probably been over with just a reprimand.

Yup he should be grateful he didn't pull a felony.
I'm sure a lot of women out there wish he'd be right now on the list of potential soon to be candidates for the darwin awards.

    Oh HELL!!!

    I am changing my mind...

He should migrate to Japan, you know, where they worship PENISES and run for office there...

Where is it that they worship PENISES in Japan, Jesus?

With a name like WIENER he would be EXXXTTTRRREEEMLY popular in Japan and would no doubt have a tribe of Geisha girls to take care of his every need.

IT is just that American society that is ALMOST as fucked-up as the crazy-assed MUZZLE'EMS over in the Middle East.

Give the man a break. He is not where he belongs right now. He belongs in a Playgirl fold out and then ON TO JAPAN and let him FUCK everything that will lie down for him over there...

I haven't read all the posts here, but has anyone raised the obvious analogy to Bill Clinton? Bill also engaged in inappropriate sex with a young woman, and then lied about it afterward. His case was worse, in that the woman was a Federal employee (so she worked for him), some of the inappropriate sex was on Federal property (the Oval Office), he tried to influence a potential witness (a friend of the young woman who knew about the affair), and when he lied, he did it under oath. Apologists put on a national campaign saying Clinton was being persecuted for something anyone might do, and which had nothing to do with his job. Clinton defenders here who condemn Weiner might want to explain their changed opinion.

They did the comparison on The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell Tueday night, probably viewable online now. They talked about the Jennifer Flowers aspect, where she had tapes of message he left for her while they were seeing each other from January 1992. They also talked about his and Hillary's 60 Minutes appearance. Of course Clinton got elected President that November, so who know what will happen with Weiner.

Personally I thought Clinton should have been impeached for lying under oath in a court of law. I also didn't think the Senate should kick him out of office for it. I thought that both houses followed proper procedure. I still do actually.

Well Bob/3 if you look back through all my posts, I am not one who supported Clinton, I never voted for him. I always saw him as Slick Willy still do. As for should he be impeached, the republicans tried. Should he have been kicked out, only history can be the judge.

When you get elected to office, no matter which one, you put yourself under the spot light and you must make sure you don't do the things that have gone on sense the beginning of this Republic. Somewhere after Kennedy we started taking note and most politicians have taken it to heart. Some it seams still think we are back in Kennedy's day where you could do things like this and the press would look the other way.

It was always wrong, but this Weiner guy will be judged by his wife his party and those that elected him as it should be. I know Nancy the woman you hate the most has been the most vocal on his behavior. The House has always been good at self cleaning from both sides of the isle. What should happen and what will happen will play out in the House the one in Washington and his own.

He who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security.

Your representative owes you, not his industry only, but his judgment; and he betrays instead of serving you if he sacrifices it to your opinion.

I have lost interest in this issue. Too much media exposure has caused my concern over Weiner to peter out.

“Compassion hurts. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the destinies of others. You must either learn to carry the Universe or be crushed by it. You must grow strong enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst horrors.”

I thought that the resurrerection of this "WEINER" thread might be appropriate for today. Of course, if you're as poor as most Americans you cannot afford hamburgers on a hot grill. You have to make it into meatloaf to have enough to 'go around'.

Of course, this generally means heating up your oven in your kitchen on a HOT day during drought conditions.

    This goes AGAINST grandma's wisdom.

She used to say, "...boys, whenever it is sunny and hot just stay inside and stay cool but don't make your MEATLOAF."

Make your meatloaf into individual patties and grill them. Patties of meat loaf mix are called Salisbury steak and can be grilled or fried and are usually served w/ brown or white gravy, though you can make burgers of them.
