Re: Posting on the political thread

If they only want to post about politics what are they doing here. This is the only site where I can be open about being a eunuch. There are many political sites where I would not mention being a eunuch. Maybe it is just me but I would like to know I am conversing with someone with similar interests and desires. I have shared a lot about myself and I would like to know a little about them.

I deferred, but just voted No!

The openness of all the Board features may help newbies gain trust in the community to share their "personals".
Board abuse can always be and is spotted by the moderators.
Honestly, the moderators do - do a good job.
Freedom and equality for newbies so I can access them by PM. It is also about me too.

Try think of it as 14th Amendment rights for newbies although this is a private board.
YOU do support the 14th Amendment, as I remember. (Y'all know I wish it repealed)

If I may, let me play the Devil's advocate.

Would we think that it was fair to restrict a person of the E.A. 'interest group' at a political discussion site if they knew (or supposed) that this person WAS a member of the E.A.?

So, why would we restrict a person from posting on the E.A. political (Or deep, dark cellar) boards if they were either new or possibly not a member of the so called E.A. 'interest group'?

In a sense of fairness, we should not restrict anyone who comes here to post, regardless of where they start posting.

Maybe, just maybe, they are trying to 'screw up' the courage to post elsewhere at the E.A.

    ...you never know...

Never having been shy or bashful (...at least not here) I could not begin to tell you how it might feel. However, being possessed of an active and vivid imagination, I can only imagine how that might feel.

...and I imagine that it would NOT feel nice...

Re: Posting on the political thread

I also think if someone comes for the stories mostly, and sees something of interest on the Political or DDC forums, he/she is still a member of the site. If this is what it takes to get the to start posting and interacting, so much the better it is a START. If they're a troll, we will know soon enough.

However I would like to offer a suggestion...if it is that important to my learned opposition (LOL) how about we require a single post where they introduce themselves and say a little about why they are here, be it for stories, information, fun..whatever...if it appears they are sincere they can be upgraded to post everywhere.

So yes I agree that any member should have access to it, however the question is should they first participate in the main focus of what this site all about?

I don't like the implication behind that that seems to suggest "non-eunuchs or castration fetishists aren't welcome here"

I don't see that as the implication at all, since the EA does welcome a much broader audience than just 'eunuchs or castration fetishists'. Nobody's saying that's where they have to post. They could just as easily be TS or TG individuals, posting about their interests and experiences in those sections.

After all, nobody could say that either definition applies to you, and yet you've made over 600 posts to date, and become part of the community here...
I believe someone could organize a protest against homophones without people figuring out what the word really means.

Re: Posting on the political thread

I think I can close this thread and poll.

I have gotten the answer I was looking for and I thank you all for your input, most of all I want to thank you for being civil about it. I must admit that I was for having this section closed to new members until a number of posts in other areas, other sites do this as a matter of course. Someone once told me that once I made up my mind I never change it, NOT TRUE, because the arguments for letting anybody post have convinced me that its the right thing to do. Yes I have changed my mind.

I wish to thank all of you who have posted, well done.

    mad Political Trolls

I have just about had it with the rash of new people that only post in the political section and whos posts are bashing everything and everybody. It will stop one way or the other.

I just kicked another one and looking close at a couple more.

Let this be a warning to everybody, this site is about Eunuchs, transgendered and related issues first and foremost. If your intent in being here is to only post in the political section your stay will be short.
