Not sure why you haven't been contacted, but they are real, people have used their services and have been greatly pleased with the results. What are you contacting them for or about?
I contacted them for penectomy. on there website there are two emailaddresses - one of the clinic and one of a doctor. i used both 2 weeks ago but i didn`t get an answer yet....
I also tried to contact them (2 month ago) and no answer...
So I guess they are out of business?
I have two web sites for the Samui Clinic: http://sexchangeasia.com/ and http://www.plasticsurgerythailand.co...ic-prices.html Four years ago there were some problems reported with them: http://www.tsroadmap.com/international/thailand.htmlI knew one woman who went there for SRS. At the time they were considered a second tier SRS clinic in Thailand (after Suporn, Kunaporn and a couple of others) The woman was overall satisfied. She complained of a lack of depth, but identifying as lesbian didn't regard that as a major problem. She had problems at first with an overstimulated clitoris, being painfully rubbed by clothing but that improved with time. I have heard nothing regarding them the last couple of years. The Samui Clinic
From a reader in October 2006.
I strongly discourage people to even consider this option in Thailand, the hospital has little to offer and the nurses have problems understanding English when I'd visited. The problem with surgery outside Bangkok is that patients has little option left if they run into problems/ complications – there's no 2 nd clinic in Koh Samui who can attend to you immediately if unforeseen situation arises.
When questioned at the counter, the nurse isn't aware of the website dedicated to Samui Clinic. It's also strange that the Samui Clinic's website is totally different from it's Official website: http://www.sih.co.th, official email: info@sih.co.th.
The Koh samui website is: http://www.bandonhospital.com, email is info@bandonhospital.com, I think it was said somewhere that the person managing the koh samui website is already dead. I'll forward you the link once I found it.
Patients are recommended to consider Bangkok first over any other destination for Transition, for the Thailand option.
Note: I received the following from another reader on 19 November 2006, in response to the reader information posted above:
"I would just like to say that the Samui Clinic is as far as I am aware still fully operational as it has been since its inception some 6 years ago. Currently it is operated by Nick Connor who has done so for the past three years.
Initially when the clinic first opened it had a hospital presence which consisted of an office with a reception area within the Bandon Hospital. The hospital where the safe and efficient procedure were carried out by Dr Choomchoke and other competent surgeons..
As the site operates solely online Nick Connor decided to forgo the office and continue to operate online and take referral only from that source any other referral went direct to and are dealt with by Dr,. Choomchoke who as far as I am aware still operates out of Bandon International Hospital Koh Samui and Bandon Hospital Surat Thani where he is Medical Director.
What I find misleading about the comments are the following. The writer goes all the away to Koh Samui and then the hospital (Bandon International Hospital I presume) - not the other mentioned which is relatively new. The writer then speaks to a receptionist who could have joined the hospital staff a few days earlier and then signs the clinic off as non-existent or suspect.
Did anyone for instance inquire or request that they speak to Dr. Choomchoke who has always been associated with the Samui Clinic that I suggest may have been a wise move. The writer then goes one step further and mentions that Koh Samui has not any medical facilities to speak of. Let me assure you and say this Koh Samui has treacherous roads and had when I lived on the Island over many years up to 7 traffic accidents a day of which one was a fatality or required serious hospitalization. The medical care and attention was provided for efficiently by the The Bandon International Hospital and later shared along with the Chaweng Hospital then the newer facilities".

nil humanum a me alienum est
Samui Clinic has only two emailaddresses - info@samuicosmeticsurgery.com and nickconnor4@aol.com. the first one doesnt`t work - my email returned a few days later and the second one works but you get no answer.
i also contacted bandan hospital " http://www.plasticsurgerythailand.co...ic-prices.html" and got an answer. The problem here is that bandon hospital asking for 2 certificates from the psychiatrist supporting the request for Penectomy. The Documents should contain a summary of the treatment with the doctor (should be a board-certified psychiatrist)and the assessment as to whether you have met all the readiness criteria for Penectomy. The first letter has to be is from your own country and the second letter should be from a Thai psychiatrst!!
in my country i will never get such a certificate from any psychiatrist !!
Samui Clinic ask for these certificates too, but here the letters could be from 2 thai psychiatrists and they will arrange for you the 2 visits.
That`s a great and for me very important difference!!#
I told bandon clinic this problem......and didn`t get no answer anymore.
«in my country i will never get such a certificate from any psychiatrist !!»
It takes a lot of time... I almost begun to meet psy 6 years ago. I'm at the point to get my letter... It costed a lot of energy and money, but if you want things finely done ...
AND*MORE : Facing more patients, they will have to make a procedure. And maybe give the access quicker for these new patients...
PM me, if you want more info.
I´m also in Psy for more than three years and my psychotherapist i a very good one. Many of his clients are transsexuals who wants to have SRS - and he write the letter für them. But he would never write this letter for someone who wants penectomy.
But you can reach the goal about many ways - and i will find one till next year.
If your still having problems getting hold of the right person, I found phoning Nick directly was the best option. The last number I used was (+66) 812739071. Explain your situation with him and normally he emails you a pricelist of possibilities.
Although you can get the 2 letters from local Thai psychologists, the Bandon hospital will not assist you directly to get them. You will need a third party such as Nick Conner to help. From what I have been told, bringing letters from countries outside of Thailand will not be accepted.
Good luck.
Hi - have you managed to contact them yet?
I´ve already no response from samui clinic or nick connor. And my english is to bad to make a phonecall. So i`m looking for alternatives now.
This is right--thraddash and I should know. Thai law is pretty strict on this matter, not that either of us would have gotten letters in our home countries. I hear that Thraddash is cute in a dress though--especially with painted nails.
One more thing--the actual surgery is done at the Bandon hospital after the letters are in hand, and from what I can tell from their portfolio, they're rather good--and they're also good at dealing with cases where people have previously existing modifications that they have to work around. But, contacting them is a bit of a challenge; the hospital doesn't help out with the psych stuff because it would lead to a conflict of interest; so your best bet is to contact Nick. In the past the "clinic" was apparently run more as a separate operation.
Also, some of the old web domains have been sold, so unless you're talking with the real Nick, you're not going to get anywhere. Get me drunk and I'll tell you a story about this. But do NOT talk with anyone from a medical tourism company; it will get you nowhere.
The surgeon does a fairly wide array of stuff, from nullo to full SRS and everything in between, and I find that he's very professional. I think that I would have preferred a full nullo to what I have now, but it's easier to subtract than to add...but it's also painful to subtract. The hospital stay is, well, obnoxious, in a way that all hospital stays are. They're very nice people and the place seems clean and well kept.
