It hasn't rained here since the last week of July, and August was 90F+ all the way through. Some idiot burned several acres of a cornfield down today, trying to burn out a stump. Many counties under a 'no burn' order now.

The Government Weather Bureau thermometer in L.A. broke yesterday, unfit to measure over 112F.
The air is stinky and hot.

    +10 - +15C in October in Saint-Petersburg? Wow...
But all good things stop. It was a demo version of global warming, and yesterday it expired .
+4C and lower, wet, windy... all the best Saint-Petersburg weather.
    Maybe I will know
    What's there in my soul
    And my road will flow
To place I've always had to go...

Sept was wet and cold here, but October has been great, Indian Summer, in the 70's and 80' at least through the end of the week, then WINTER.

I saw hail about 1/8 inch this afternoon. A sudden storm. Over in 30 minutes. It's 57 deg F too.

Stormy night along the S. Ca. Coast.
Rumbling thunder like air planes taking off as opposed to, "claps". But some of those happened too. Not much lightening.
And about an inch of rain - whoopie.

Our weather here in Southern California is perfect. Rain the last few days and cool temperatures. What more could one want?

Well, maybe seeing the new winter season of Red Nuns on Ice

Yes Southern California, where its 80 in the spring and fall 90 in the summer and 70 in the winter, oh yes and it rains a couple inches a year,

    BORING

I can say that I lived there,

There is something to be said for the four seasons, winter should be white as in SNOW not brown, Summer should be GREEN not brown, Spring should be nature coming to life full of bloom, and Fall should be all the colors of the rain bow not BROWN,

You know my grass is still very green its been that way all year, I don't need to water it, I don't put down HS to make it grow, and when the snow is over it, if you dig down its still green. NOT BROWN.

OK it sometimes gets a bit cold here, but how can you say you love summer if winter looks just like summer?

The thing that really gets me is people in southern California who buy parka's for the winter, where it gets down to OH 50 or so. We don't put on long pants tell it gets down to 30 and a lite jacket is fine to about 20.

Remember Andrew, he was from Southern California, I remember him asking one night how many blankets we used, then he explained he used flannel sheets and a heating blanket, because at night it gets down to 65 or so.

I will break out my flannel sheets in a month or so when it gets down to 20 or so.

    Can anybody say wuss.

I lived in Southern California, the only thing that wind ever did was clear out the smog,
