    Re: Pre-employment physical

I was checking the want ads online earlier today and something struck me. I saw a job posted that said a “pre-employment physical” may be required.

Have any of the eunuchs here at the EA ever had to undergo such an exam? How extensive was it? Did they ask you to turn your head and cough? Does your absence of parts get noted and do you think you may have been discriminated against because of it?

Please share your experiences and or thoughts.

Yeah, i had one that did that (and they didn't even notice anything different), but never any since in 15 years, so I would not even worry about it at all. Checking for missing balls is not on their checklist I don't think. Even so you could make up a story about pre-cancer or something.

I wouldn't use "pre-cancer" as it may affect your future insurability. Use something more along the lines of an accident ("my hunting partner accidentally shot my balls off "), or something that has no long-term future effects on insurability ("got testicular torsion while on a wilderness expedition, took too long to get to the hospital and by then my balls died and had to be removed").

Well, I was thinking something like an operation to prevent possible occurrence of cancer, if that makes any sense. Anyway, point is just to have a line in your back pocket to spout off should you need it, but you probably won't need to even discuss it. Last 5 or so jobs for me, that was not even a part of the exam.

Since you don't need balls to perform the duties of most jobs, I wouldn't worry about it. I had to have one of these exams so I could work in a hospital. They're more worried about what your actual physical state is NOW so you don't sue them LATER. That's all these exams are about - their being able to prove that your condition had not changed because of anything that happened on the job, nothing more, nothing less.

They don't care about your lack of balls, but the issue then becomes do you wish the employer to know about it. My lack of balls didn't show up on the paperwork sent to the employer, only in the doctors records.

The lack of testicles shouldn't be noted on anything that is given to your employer anyhow due to HIPPA regulations, if you're in the US.

They STILL have you turn your head and cough after being snipped. Its to check for hernia which you can still get.

Yes, I turned and coughed when I had my physical. The doctor asked about why I didn't have balls, and I didn't feel any obligation to answer since it's not relevant to the reason I'm having the physical.

She seemed more interested in changing all my medications because of their addictive properties. I like the way these medications work, and I highly doubt I'm addicted if it's taking me longer to use the pills than it takes for them to expire. These pills are to be taken "as needed". Obviously if they are expiring before I've used them all, I'm not an addict, and told her as much.

She just filled out my paperwork after that and I left.

Really, this getting a physical after you're a eunuch is no big deal.

Would that have been just natural female interest or professional, given that she is a urologist?

I hope it would be both. If you told her about the EA and that it was elective we may recruit an new professional cutter that we badly need.

i have talked to her about about elective orchiectomy

she fears being ostracized by the other members of her group so she wont try it

she has been doing my tests for almost 7 years now and is fascinated how healthy my prostate is

my last visit she commented how small my prostate was for a 56 year old guy with a psa of .06...saying it was a advantage of having my testicles taken off

I once read that Dr. Spectre claimed he did about 80 a year. At $3,000 each the money may make her willing to try it.

$240k per year for a urologist would be a bad amount of money if it also risked her losing license. This is why Spector and Kimmel probably were not top guys -- this sort of money wouldn't attract the best.
