I have been seeing on TV that Obama is going to bankrupt the coal industry and I say about time.We get 50% of our electric from coal but as you know this is not good for the enviroment so we need these shut down as soon as possable dont you think.Do you think this is a good idea?

I disagree! Modern coal fired electric plants are clean burning and efficient as well as cheap. The enviros like to put pics and film of old plants spewing out steam but it is nothing like London in the 1800s where the town was covered up in a coal fog.
Most modern coal plants do not even emit visible smoke. If you see something coming out of them it is only steam. We are getting close on many fronts to accomplishing great steps forward in clean renewable energy sources. Let's not shoot ourselves in the foot and try to shut down an industry that we are totally ignorant about. Are you ready for a 50% increase in your electric bill?
Well I think most people are as they are voting for a house and senate that wants to do just that.Remember Nancy said no more drilling for oil in this country as she needs to save the planet.So yes expect your electric bill to go way up in the future.Now we are having the change we need for a change.

My dad's (and so, in effect, most of my) money comes from the coal industry. But I'm not going to get too worked up over some comments no one thought were important enough to publicize for well nigh a year, and that seem to have been taken out of context. This appears to be yet another desperate ploy by desperate people who figure they have nothing else left to lose.
The fact is, the way we use coal now is filthy and pollutes the environment. Most of the time the way we extract it isn't much better. We DO need better ways of harvesting and using coal, and it won't shock me in the least if some coal companies go out of business.
No this is what Obama has said I could never make something like that up and I am so happy for these changes I think we will all like this new president.

Hay I herd this on Obams own network CNBC they were the ones who were talking about this statment that dosent mean any thing.So yes we all need to get used to this new country of great change.Some will be good some will be not so good but dont come in here when Obama pisses you off
