    Texas Supression of Religion

At last some reason intrudes on the invasion of a religious community by government in Texas. Without any evidence of abuse, authorities in Texas has vandelized a religious community. Now a court in the state has taken notice and acted.

Does anyone else find it suspicious that they never found or identified the girl upon whose complaint they were acting? Who's to say she ever existed?
There is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so.

I was wondering the same thing, Slammr.
WHO made the call? Where is she? Buried next to Jimmy Hoffa now?
Fun fact: Humans are deuterostomes, which means that when they develop in the womb, the anus forms before any other opening. Which basically means at one point you were nothing but an asshole. Some people never develop beyond this stage!

I read that the lady who made the initial distress call was a fake, she was not a member of the FLDS. Her name is Rozita Swinson, she is either under arrest in Colorado or out on bail. We do not yet know her motives for placing that call.

Dirty Old Men hiding in a compound in the woods in Texas so they can force young teenage girls into marriage, sex and pregnancy while using religion as an excuse does not qualify for protection under the law. The leader of this group has already been found guilty. Also it has been reported: In order to become a member of the Texas compound a member has to be recognized for his contributions to the group, i.e. mainly cash contributions to buy thir way into the highly prized private compound. To many bad things are already done in the name of religion and protected by law or political correctness that refuses to call it what it really is. Thanks for the opportunity to rant.

This seems to be more of a criminal conspiracy than a religion. Guess who is footing the bill for all these whores to pop out a bunch of kids? Texas taxpayers.

I'm also SICK of hearing these women as VICTIMS that need to be rescued. Those bitches served their little girls up like meat to a predator. They are even more guilty than the men and should be treated accordingly. Also, I think it needs to be proven by DNA as to whose kids belong to who (including paternity) before giving the kids back to these sick fucks. I'd also like to see the FBI do a complete investigation into all the financial records of this group as well.

    Ramses-

You and i usually agree on most subjects, but you are way off the mark here. These are GENERATIONS of women raised with almost no exposure to other cultural examples.

When you are brutalized during every day of your life, and you have no (or limited) knowledge of other choices, you do what you have always known. These women have been brainwashed.

These women are victims, and they will never be normal well adjusted people. It is terribly sad.

I see nothing funny or suspicious about the initial police report. Some people want to get involved, but are afraid. They make a choice to act that leaves themselves unexposed while revealing the problem to the authorities. IT HAPPENS EVERYDAY in this country and around the world.

It is a shame that cowards like Michael Moore have contaminated the American psyche with their conspiracy-theories-for-profit agendas.

    Ramses,

I on the other hand almost never agree with you but I will say this, you have not changed your position on how the world turns and your comments above are right in line with other posts you have made.

If the women are victims, then who is responsible for all these attrocities? The brainwashed men? The brainwashed culture of these freaks is EXACTLY why these children need to be taken away and raised in a normal environment. If these bitches aren't responsible then NO ONE is!

If we excuse peoples behavior because of firm religious beliefs, then Eric Rudolph should be set free. After all, in his mind he was slaying the killers running the baby killing clinic. There are few things that really get me going more than seeing parents doing or allowing harm to their children.

In any case with enough evidence, they need to be charged with conspiracy to commit rape of a child, child endangerment, child neglect and whatever else they can be charged with. Any found guilty should get minimum of 25 to life.

The situation might not be as we think. The authorities needed to have evidence of abuse to impose themselves into this situation. There might be abuse (and I think that there probably is) but there has to be evidence for the authorities to seize those children. Look what happened in Waco. The federal government blundered into one heck of a mess with awful outcomes. The government became Jim Jones.

I have no problems with a group of people wanting to live in what ever fashion they believe in, but I must ask, "Why does god need a watch tower with armed gods?"

Is it to keep out all the people that want to join? or perhaps to force those inside to stay?

A few weeks ago Oprah had a wonderful show on about the FLDS church, and she has posted much of the info on her site...see this link...

Really, not unlike the case for people in some entire countries (one's selection of examples might differ based on one's geographical location.)

    Re: Texas Supression of Relgion

As a Texas resident, I think the main issue is the fact that the authorities in the state CPS office had their heads up thei butts. I wondered about the legality of this from the get go. The the story appeared that the call came in from a lunatic in Colorado. I don't think anybody did their homework first. They just saw a group of people that they disagreed with and went after.

Put the eunuch community in place of them (with our leader in the Red Habit) and they might just have come after us also.

    Oh man!

Blaise, that is using several fallacious arguments. The Fallacy of the General Rule is where you claim that there MUST be something or the other present before the authorities can investigate, and that is just not right.

The authorities acted on good faith that abuse was occurring when an anonymous report was called in. When abuse is reported it MUST be investigated. In fact, it appears that there WERE minors having children with 50-something men in this CULT.

IF you or I did that WITHOUT the cover of religion we'd be locked up as child molesters. Justifiable without a doubt. That is why the DNA tests are being made. OLD MEN IMPREGNATING MINORS UNDER THE AGE OF CONSENT IS A CRIME, REGARDLESS OF RELIGION.

Then, there is the BAD ANALOGY fallacy that compares this incident with WACO and that is just a plain, old bad analogy. The two incidents WERE NOT similar in ANY way whatsoever.

Finally, you create a STRAW MAN with this caricatured version of ramses' position and compare the U.S. government to Jim Jones.

You might as well used Hitler and his extermination of the Jews in the Holocaust to make the point.

    I agree with ramses.

Men our ages should not be fucking or impregnating minors in the name of religion. The Mothers of the girls in question if in their right minds ought not to allow it.

Regardless of if they have been brainwashed, programmed or whatever, it IS a crime that they are an accessory to and they are NOT FIT to care for children if they allow them to be impregnated by old men, Patriarchs or no, in the name of religion or anything else.

In other words, folks, this is SICK, SICK, SICK... No way can you condone it, regardless of how it came to be known.

You cannot stick this Genie back into the Lamp...

AND RELIGION CAN STICK THE FLDS POLYGAMY BACK UP IT'S ASS.
