    Bush and the border patrol

Bush cant have it both ways but he sure tries dosent he.Last month he pardened Scooter Libby because he thought his bubby didnt deserve what happened to him even though a jury convicted him. This week he wont comute the sentiance of the border patrol agents because his buddy in Texas said they were guilty and a jury convicted them. When I see this happening it is no wonder the people dont trust this man. When we have power we cant abuse it or we will loose respect for ourselves and the presidency.

OH MY< Have you started to see what we have been seeing in this President?
Yes he does seem to have a double standard.

    River
He who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security.

Your representative owes you, not his industry only, but his judgment; and he betrays instead of serving you if he sacrifices it to your opinion.

    River
Neverthless, nasty as he is, he was the logical choice in the last presidential election.

I STILL maintain that there is not an OUNCE of difference between John F. Kerry and George W. Bush except that Kerry HAS to be smarter...

Hell, George W. Bush has to be the most ignorant Yale-educated man ever. Check out THIS...

I know the flamming liberals love to pound bush over his low ratings in the polls but most of the republicans and centrist (like myself) despise him for different reasons than the flamming libs. I am furious with him for not slamming the border closed. We should have made strategic attacks on Syria and Iran already since they are at war with us already. I'm not talking ground forces and invasion just a pummeling of govt. buildings and all their military hardware. We could be doing massive roundups of ilegal aliens. All we have to do is make being here illegally a FELONY and ut them in work camps on the border building a big ass wall on the border. I bet 5 years hard labor would be a deterent. But they talk alot of crap and don't WANT to fix that problem. Also they are allowing China (who has nukes pointed at us) to profit off of the american economy at the expense of us manufacturing. There are SO many one sided trade deals that we got the wrong end of the stick.

I dor one love the USA and have no problem being the most powerful nation in the world. I don't have a problem with us using our power to get our way when it is beneficial to the USA. There are alot of other countries that are jelous of our power and affluence but screw 'em! If we are so bad , why are SOOOOO many people wanting to come here?

I don't advocate using our power to unjustly bully weaker countries, but we should not tolerate ANY country waging a proxy war on us (syria, iran, north korea).

I do agree it was BS to commute Libby's sentence and let the border patrol agents rot in jail. The BP does an amazing job since they have both hands tied behind their back! F Bush!

My fellow Texans and I do not want him back. Although Cindy Sheehan has left Crawford, TX, we don't need another idiot to replace her!

It used to be called gunboat diplomacy and the Brits used it to great effect in the Middle East for years. Get in, hit hard and get out. Its what should have been done after Lebanon and Mogadishu. George Bush Senior took this tack in the first Iraq war and it worked a treat Kuwait was freed and never attacked again. Not sure why we didn't do the same thing after reaching Baghdad this time. I bet the Iranians not to mention Syria would be giving us more respect than they are now. Also North Korea

Re: Bush and the border patrol

It's always easy to armchair quarterback. If you remember the mood in the country was to finish what was started by Bush Sr. There was also great concern over WMD (which was only found in limited quantities) and it took like a year to hunt down Hussain. The issue now is all the foreign fighters. We messed up by not securing the borders as we invaded and then not instituting marshal law and ruling with an iron fist like post war japan. The Iraqis should have had to earn their freedom and the right to govern themselves.

On that fence thing ramses well congress turned that down today so it looks like both the parties dont want that fence built.I think when we relect a sitting president he should only get a two year term and not the four years like we have now.If he or she cant get things done in six years why do we need another two to keep their mess going.I wish the American people would let both parties know they want progress on the hill or they will all be replaced. And yes let congress know thies border patrol agents need to be let out heck the guy they shot for running away has a free pass into this country and if I got the story right he has brought drugs in on that free pass.

I hate rpublicans but have always found them a better alternative than democrats. Since voting for a democrat offends my sensibilities, I just won't vote anymore. I refuse to choose the worst of two evils anymore because you're just telling the one that you vote for that what they are doing is OK.

I used to think the same way. I would normally vote republican because even with their bible thumping, they seem less harmless to society as a whole. But they have become more corrupt and don't give a rats ass for anyone that isn't contributing to their campaigns. They have become as bad as the democrats and if I vote for them, that just says "It's OK".

I think we all deserve better than either party has to offer. I don't know the answer to this problem but voting for 1 of two corrupt parties isn't the answer.
