Really enjoyed the article. I plan to print it off so I can peruse it more closely and enjoy it more. I have used Saw Palmetto for years. Might be the reason I have a small prostate.

Sister K, Can you tell me if you think Saw Palmetto has any value to a man without testes who takes normal levels of HRT? Is it possible that taking it just negates some of the effect?? I R cornfused...

    Re: Castration Primer

I'm wondering if this article could possibly explain some of the dangers involved. I have read online other mentions of the dangers with banding or other methods of DIY but not many specific problems that can arise. In relation to calves dangers are listed albeit some would not be so relevant to humans. For example tetnus, which can avoided by a sterile environment and/or a simple vaccine. With the issue of male cattle remaining fertile before the sloughing begins, I'm not sure in the first couple of weeks anyone would be up for post operative cannoodling anyway. I could be wrong.

So perhaps you could include some of the complications that may arise for those of us who aren't in the know which may deter one from some self-styled nut nip & tuck?

    Re: Castration Primer

Wonderful read. I would add this simply for trivial, if not spiritual information:

    Battlefield postmortem:

Some cultures believe that how you leave this life is how you enter the next one.

After the battle of the Little Big Horn, the Cheyenne and Arapahoe warriors castrated at least some of the fallen. Exact numbers were not kept. As the men died late afternoon of June 25th and weren't reached until early morning on the 27th, they were quickly buried.

But it brings to thought that these men were castrated to keep them from reproducing and/or to take away their 'power' in the afterlife.

    Love Ya Re: Castration Primer

Good Morning to all;Now this thread is very good info. I am new here and have been looking for info on Chemical, surgerical castration. and the side effects that goes with it, It is great to be able to read info from people that have had this done. I have been on mild chemical, for over a year now and love the outcome penis has shrunk from 6 inch when hard, now it is about 1inch flaccid and never gets hard, my testicles are up in my body full time My orgasm are dry, But very intentise, OH MY GOD type, love it. My nipples are VERY sore. and have to put band ads over them when my tee shirt is on. Now I am going to ask my doctor to look at if I am ready for depo provera,or lupron, I do want to try Chemical, before I have surgical castration. So far I love this feeling with out any side effects. Meds are not that strong yet, But they are working. I did try clamping both over a year ago and that was not very good, and did not work. As I tryed it alone. Wrong way to go, learned my lesson. Again Thank you for the great info, looking forward to reading more.

Like you, I am an anxious wannabe. I am afraid that I might lose my VA health insurance status with any manipulation of anything, sweating Obamacare. I had a vasectomy 40 years ago with Planned Parenthood, and I think that my best line of professional advice would be to contact them directly for any appointment with one of their doctors for some consultation; I never, ever since the big bang, thought I would be in my 60s playing the field like a high school kid.

Thank you for this, it was both informative and a very interesting read. I have to say that I have never come across Norelin before so that was very useful. From what is said about its lifetime effects, it sounds like it will be good inspiration for some of the story writers also.

It is very useful for me, i know that i have to start with a trial run with chemical castration, i want to explore the feelings of a
    eunuch before becoming one!
And, this forum is great! I never thought before, that so many men want to be emasculated!
Knowing that i am not alone, encourages me to go further on my way!

    You're welcome.
If I had $1 for every time I've heard the statement "I'm not alone!" I could retire!
    I said the same thing.
