I also want nullification. However, I have to find a way so that my doctor will say that removal is necessary and it can be performed by a qualified surgeon under my medical plan.

If it is a penectomy you want, your best bet would be some surgeons in Thailand. Shall I post some links?

Why is there a stigma for these operations? A few reasons that I can see. Being castrated or having a penectomy leaves one 'less than a man' by Western society, and is a subject of much derision, scorn, and fear.

Also, historically, the doctors performing these operations have been men, and these operations have hit a tender spot with most of them.

Plus, these are generally the same people that will struggle for years, against all hope or reason, to keep you alive, no matter how much pain & misery you are in.

I believe someone could organize a protest against homophones without people figuring out what the word really means.

Will that attitude change with the advent of more women doctors? Will they be more willing to remove a man's penis and testicles?

    smokes Mac...

...well, I think that malpractice fear is contributing to this reluctance.

    Yes Allison,

We agree, LOL, that’s a first, it is easer for women to have all the changes you said, but like IEunuch said there is the fear, scorn, etc. for us. Some day maybe the medical community will get it together and come up with a plan. I know this group could offer many suggestions and I am sure that some would be acceptable. On the other had remember the group we are talking about. NUTS

    smokes Dear Allison,

    It won't ever happen.

The male dominated field of medicine is like a boy's club in many ways.

Would you expect a bunch of boys to close their own playground?

I am afraid that this is what it amounts to, with all appropriate respect.

    The red river flows..

This is a response to something Allison said about it being easier for a female to have things removed than a male.

Not to be rude, at any costs, but it's not that easy. My mother suffered for over thirty years with a defective uterus and the docs wouldn't let her have it out, because she only had one kid. Finally, 7 years back, she had it done. I, myself, cannot have anything done, not even my tubes tied until I have at least two children. Doctors tell me this all the time, but that's life.

But someone like my father who has one kid can just go down to the doc and get a vasectomy, hardly any questions asked..that's a load of poo, man..j/k.

I wonder if it's just a matter of finding the right doctor, actually.

Take castration, for example. Most doctors will not remove a man's perfectly healthy testicles just because he dislikes his excessive sex drive. But according to Anne Lawrence's M2F TG FAQ: "However, in many major cities there will be someone who will perform castrations with few if any questions asked. Such practitioners are usually best located through local inquiries. One notable exception is Dr. Felix Spector, who maintains a fearless web presence."

Perhaps the same thing applies for removing a defective uterus in a young woman who has had only one child: While it may be that most gynecologists won't do it, if one searches around, one may find an agreeable doctor.

Unhappy Easy to obtain a vasectomy

It is indeed, but that is the case. I first tried to get a vasectomy at age 27 whilst in the US Navy. I had no children, I was not married. The Navy said NO or just dragged their feet.

In the year 1973, I left the Navy, moved to Los Angeles, contacted Family Planning, and got A $100 vasectomy with minimal questions, after I convinced them that I knew what I was doing, even if an unmarried man with no children.

    Null and Void?

this first for Nocturnal - if you wish to have your tubes tied, why not check the doctors out here in Wichita, Kansas? They dont tell a woman she needs to have 2 or 1 kid before doing it; as the choice is between you and what ever god you worship.

Unfortunately, I have a desire to lose everything, becoming an eunuch, and have not the resources to have this done, mainly since the VA wont do "cosmetic" surgey, which is what they label this as being. Course, if my male parts became so damaged as to threaten my life, then they would do so, just to save my life......but that is such a huge amount of pain, that I fear I would simply go into catonic shock if that were to happen.

BTW - is there such a tool as the Burdizzo tool?If so, anyone have one to use on my nuts?
