Jerry Springer did get his filthy paws on a eunuch story. The show was titled "I Did My Own Sex Change." I have it on tape somewhere, and it's a travesty to the entire Eunuch community, online and not.

The eunuch in question was humiliated, badgered, and basically made to look the fool on national TV via editting for the sake of money and ratings. I have no clue how much or IF he was paid, but I wouldn't do it for any amount of money!

The whole theme of the show was basically "If you're different and no one else can help you and you deal with it as best you can, you're a f*cking idiot and a freak and we hate you."

I'd happily go on a TV show with Bboy and Talula and anyone else on a program with a much more pleasant host, but Springer can kiss my ass ... Metaphorically speaking, he isn't getting anywhere near my ass and if someone claiming to be from his show pops up here, the little red NUKE icon in the control panel is just primed and ready for him.

Of course, after that dreadful episode, I seriously doubt if anyone associated with him or producing his show would have the balls to show up here. Pun intended.

    It seems that many,,,

are interested by this subject. Even if only by repulsion.

I find it fascinating how this place has taken off. The story boards have gotten bigger and bigger. It seems that everyone has contributed a story or is contributing on a regular basis.

I think that there is some sort of sexual/sociological phenomenon going on here. These are the types of things that spawn Ph.D.'s research in psychology and such.

But from that number of hits I would say that a universal primal chord has been struck in the psyche's of many.

No doubt about it, the E.A. is here to stay!

I just wonder what mainstream magazine, news agency is going to be courageous enough to briing this to public forums.

    Springer, here we cum!

    You want dysfunctional, Baby?

    YOU AIN'T SEEN NUTHIN' YET!

Yes Charlie .. you are right. I have always been impressed with the quality of participants here.

The 'pop up' can be used for all kinds of announcements ... and turned off entirely if I/We so choose ... I that's why I programmed it the way I did :-) Any changes I make to the message effect ALL stories with the pop up code ... so you don't have older stories popping up and old message. Does that make any sense?

And ... registered author stories don't contain the pop up code at all. FYI

Limpone, have you considered a serial to PS2 adaptor plug for your mouse? You might also consider running a want ad for "old mouse for win95, serial" and see how many you can find. Offer 'em a buck each ...

And Charlieje, love the picture! You're right of course. Now all we need is that red/blond little boy in shortalls riding the tractor! Can't hardly see you tho.

    Popups, et al...

    Paolo,

That popup scared me too! But then I'm just a timid lil guy, so out of place when I'm not on my John Deere :-)

Congrats on the board hits, guys!

Personally I wouldn't be too concerned about the low number of posts lately... I think the atmosphere around here is one that makes folks feel that their opinions and questions are welcome - I know it struck me that way from my very first visit.

Isn't it better to have fewer HIGH QUALITY, sincere posts, than a lot of useless (or offensive) trivial nonesense?

Point Blank range? Hmmm, , , I think we must be talking about a different type of Gun. -s-

O you Guys, so into the newest/best in computers.-s- I am using a PB 120 megahertz, 1 gig HD, that came with 910 Megs of software. (That is why as soon as I saw that, I had a second HD put in, a 1.99 Gig monster.) My os is Win 95B from Jan., of 97. The only drawback I see to still using the old thing is that It has only two ports, one each Serial, & Com. No Usb. I am still using a mouse that crashes the thing, caus I can't find a new mouse I can use in any Local stores.

    Blessed Imbolg!

LoL ... you WOULD know about point blank range wouldn't you?

The good thing about the message box is that:

    1. It only shows up once per visit, not once for every story you look at, and ...

    2. We can change the content or disable the pop-up at any time ... it's not really built into the story page at all - I just used some fancy technical tricks to make it appear that way.

By the way Paolo, I have I upgraded to Win XP and hadn't got my ICQ list back up WHEN ... the brand new hard drive I installed XP on failed totally ... so I *just* got a new one in and XP installed AGAIN ... so that's why you haven't seen me on ICQ!!

I will get it back up SOON though!

He's even cuter at point blank range.

I noticed the unobtrusive message box ... it scared the sh*t out of me and I closed 8 windows by accident and spilt my coffee!
heh ... Damn near scorched something!

edit: And before I forget again ... see how easily I get distracted?! So close to 8.0 hits! I like nice, round numbers.

    I am working ...

on some un-obtrusive ways to get messages to those readers who just hit the stories and nothing else.

In fact it's in place now

Maybe we can convince some people that it's worth their time to read and post on the message boards too!

Which seems to show that the overwhelming majority of people visiting the EA are interested only in the stories, not the message board or the chatrooms. Of course, the overwhelming majority of people reading the stories are not eunuchs. Even so, congratulations on a stunning accomplishment.
