In 2014, Dr. Harold Zukunft developed the cure for the male condition. By 2025, he'd cured the world.

God is perfect, and thus his creations are perfect, but then how can extinctions take place? Evolution postulates that all organisms are in-fact imperfect, and in the search for perfection, sometimes evolution needs a helping hand.

Since the birth of humanity, conflicts raged within. When the ancestors first sharpened tools to hunt with, the conflicts continued to rage, and in 2020 man continued to suffer by the inner struggle between impulses that ruled his life.

In studies into the male condition, Dr Harold Zukunft postulated that man was in-fact ruled by two entirely different impulses that often worked antagonistically, and that it was this conflict that made males, particularly young males so easily lead into crime or violence. “The confusion”, he said, “within a young man’s mind, attempting to balance these impulses, often leads to violence or depression”. He suggested that the impulses could be defined as “Hedonism” and “Responsibility”.

Zukunft went on to suggest that every man suffers the conflict between fulfilling his responsibilities to himself, his family and others, and fulfilling his own desires for pleasure. Observations of women from different parts of the world, psychometric testing and other surveys suggested that most females did not suffer the conflict of interests, and in almost all hypothetical scenarios, women where found to side with their impulse for “responsibility”.

History had shown that since entering the workplace in developed countries, women had laid way for technological advancement at a much faster rate, although Zukunft’s studies suggested that men had an advantage when it came to originality and design, particularly due to an obsessive quality many men possessed that worked in their favour.

Zukunft came to the conclusion that the acceleration of technological development since women entered the workplace had to be due to physiological and psychological differences between men and women. He came to the conclusion that the cause of “the conflict” in man, in comparison to the clear-headedness of the fairer sex was entirely due to the corrupting effects of the male hormone testosterone.

For years, Dr. Zukunft’s findings had little weight, and, much to his displeasure, no action was taken to provide a “cure” for the male condition.

In his personal diary, which after his death was published and made available in every bookshop in the country, he stated that after his papers where published, he began to “see the symptoms of the male condition everywhere. Every day I hear on the television stories about rapists, murderers, binge drinking, drug abuse, and I think to myself that all these social ills have the same route cause. Every day in my department I overhear colleagues flirting with the female employees, or speaking erotically to their partners by phone, rather than focusing on their tasks. Oftentimes I look up from my desk, to see male employees walking awkwardly to the rest rooms for a quick wank. Even I am guilty of this, and I feel the conflict in my head even now. Humanity’s potential is stifled by our instincts and urges, and our civilisation will continue to be held-back as long as the male condition is not cured.”

The improvement of man began 4 years later, with further advancement of DNA technology and stem cell research. A former colleague of Dr. Zukunft developed a way to create new types of cell using DNA manipulation. These cells could create previously unseen enzymes to create new organic chemicals. This technology was first used to cure conditions such as type-1 diabetes by synthesising new langerhans cells to produce insulin, and new organelles where produced to administer other drugs at a constant rate. Dr. Zukunft and a number of other biologists resumed the studies, and began testing a number of concepts on animals. After a year of investigation, Zukunft team developed cells that could convert Testosterone and Dihydrotestosterone into compounds such as nandralone. This was a major breakthrough.

True development began with Danny. Danny was a young monkey who had not yet shown signs of secondary sex characteristics, suggesting he had not yet started puberty. The team took some epithelial cells from him, and using nuclear replacement techniques where able to produce stem cells for the monkey. Using these stem cells, Zukunft team where able to grow a small organ made up of TTN (testosterone to nandralone) cells within 3 weeks.

Danny's left testicle was removed, and preserved. The freshly grown TTN organ was placed in the monkey's scrotum, and the blood supply to the right testicle was repositioned to loop through the TTN organ before returning to the body. Through this system, all testosterone produced by the remaining testicle would pass through the TTN converter organ. Regular blood tests showed that the TTN organ after installation was successfully converting at least 80 percent of the testosterone produced.

Over the next two years, other experiments proceeded and Danny was well looked after, in a large enclosure adjacent to the laboratories. After 2 years, Danny should have completed puberty, but observations suggested otherwise.

To the delight of Zukunft and his team, Danny had barely developed secondary sex characteristics. His genitalia had barely grown, and other signs suggested the TTN organ was successful in suppressing the monkey's sexual development. Danny was kept with mature females for two months, but showed no signs of sex drive, and the females where not made pregnant. Investigation proved that reasonable quantities (around half of a normal monkey) of sperm where present in his remaining testicle. Danny was not seen sexually aroused, but with direct stimulation could achieve erection. Despite his lack of normal testosterone levels, an untrained eye would have interpreted Danny as an over-active and extremely muscular monkey. The nandralone had had the effect of boosting his muscle mass considerably, and the remaining testosterone not converted by the organ ensured that Danny's fat and muscle distribution reflected a mature male. To prove the effectiveness of the artificial TTN organ, it was later removed and replaced by Danny’s original testicle. The result was puberty for Danny, proving that the TTN organ was effective in supressing development of sex drive and other secondary characteristics.

Zukunft interpreted the experiment as a great success, and was prepared to move onto human testing. However, red tape got in the way, and, obsessed by his quest, Zukunft volunteered to have a TTN organ installed.

Zukunft was in his early 40s when this took place. One testicle was removed and a TTN organ was installed, as had taken place with the monkey; Danny. Zukunft was then closely monitored for the following months. He reported total loss of sex drive, and an enhanced ability to focus. Over the following months physical changes to the doctors body where observed; loss of body fat and rapid muscular growth. After 3 months Dr. Zukunft's body resembled that of a body-builder in his early thirties. Zukunft also reported that, if he felt that he wanted to, he was perfectly able to perform sexually, although with a little more effort. Most of all, Zukunft reported that he felt he was free of the controlling impulses that he had suffered all his life. Secondary sex characteristics such as body hair remained, and the most significant changes where within the doctor’s brain. The experiment was such a success that permission for further human testing was given, and in 2017 biologist Thomas Hilton put forward his young son; James, for the trial. James would be the first of a new generation of “boys forever”, free of the conflicts that had ruled man for so long.

To be continued with Chapter 1; James.
